I still do, but barely. The team not playing with urgency and the lack of defensive effort is quite disconcerting. I expected the C’s to come out and play like they did game 2. Boy was I wrong…

No.

And even if they find a way to miraculously take the next two, they're losing to the Heat.

No, this team has shown us plenty of clues to the makeup of the team over the last few months. No coaching, no leadership, no toughness and no defense. That’s what I will remember from the 22-23 Celtics.

I'd be lying if I said I did.  I don't think we force Game 7, in a series we should have swept.

Well, in the prediction thread before the series, I said Celtics in 7 and predicted an epic series.  So I kinda implied that the Sixers would have 3 wins at some point....

Sooo.....ride or die.

Same. I said eithers C's in 7 or Sixers in 6. Kinda thought that C's in 7 in that they're up 3-2 and blow game 6 away. Not the other way around.

Surprised but not surprised that a lot of folks thought this was a Celtics sweep or C's in 5.

I still believe we have the best talented team .  Poorly led as it may be

A team lost without the coach who saved them from Brad ,

With a bunch of losers in the FO nuked the Celtics season with Imes firing l

FO hung Ime and have to now sit in the pile of poop they created.

Saw those 3 Orlando games? Those few games against New York and Brooklyn? That dumb Grant William game against the Cavs? And all the other ridiculous games that they've lost?

Those were telling signs that this team isn't disciplined and bled over into the playoffs. Their regular season record fools everyone.

I’ve changed my tune. I don’t believe anymore  :P

I still felt confident about BOS winning Gm 6 and coming back to win Gm 7 durin the first half of game five ... but man, that 2nd half no show no fight back no heart effort has left me unsure.

Always until it is done.  It is not done.

That said, the coach isn't shooting terrible shots and missing.  The coach isn't making bad passes.  The coach isn't defending the other team.  It is easy to blame the coach when things go badly (Milwaukee did that as well), and Joe is obviously a young coach that has made some mistakes, but he isn't on the floor missing shots, turning it over, and not defending.

Also, while I thought Boston would win the series, I was concerned because Embiid is the best player in it by a pretty wide margin (if healthy - and he is pretty close to 100% now) and the Sixers have a lot of solid good fitting talent around him.  All of that matters, especially in the post season.  And while Tatum is a better player than Harden, Harden has been the 2nd best player in the 5 games of this series.  That matters even more.  Maxey and Harris are excellent 3rd and 4th options and Tucker, Melton, Niang, and Reed are at least competent.

The Celtics depth has been greatly overstated by this board and the media all season.  The guard depth is excellent, but the team really only goes 3 deep down low with Horford and the Williamses.  Tatum plays PF way too much because there just isn't anyone else.  It has been a disaster and a team with Embiid is just too much for the C's to handle.  Even with that though, Boston should have won this series in 5 games.  The guards and wings have been the problem as they just can't consistently shoot and the defense on Harden has been awful.

Players earn some blame, but Joe changed the identity of the team.
Seems like everyone took a step back except for white.

The guy is getting out coached by rivers. He was out coached by Quinn.

This league is dominated by talent mostly. Just think how bad a coach has to be to negate the adv this team has over one like philly.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

My main point was that Philly is just as talented as Boston.  I really don't understand how the narrative was started that Boston is the most talented and deepest team in the league.
