Why was nothing done about a clear crotch shot against our star? This seems really inconsistent NBA.

Refs said it wasn't a reviewable play.  I have no idea regarding the rules of when the refs can look at a play for a flagrant, and when they can't.

Forget reviewability ... how did none of the refs see it live? I often see refs who are out past the 3pt line calling fouls happening under the hoop, but none of them saw Tucker's wild arm swing? Ridiculous.

That said, Boston's loss was mostly self-inflicted.

So hypothetically, if PJ had punched Tatum in the face and no ref saw it, there would be no review. I don't buy they couldn't look at it because every time a dude lands on the floor they look to see if it was a flagrant.

Can we be honest with ourselves?  The act was not intentional; it was an accident.

As for not being reviewable, that does not make sense.  I would think they did look at it.

Finally, who is Tatam?

EDIT:  Here is what Joe said about the play.  Apparently the refs said that they cannot review just because the Celtics wanted them to.

Not exactly sure what that means, but my interpretation is that the refs decide whether to review something or not, not the coaches.  I have no doubt that they could have reviewed the play under the rules, but chose not to because whoever saw it determined it to be accident.

Because it’s just widely accepted as an “accident”

Bigger question is why couldn’t we stop James harden?

Landing under someone is an accident, yet still a flagrant.

The saddest part of my misspelling Tatum is that it's my wife's maiden name.  :-[
