If a manager realizes his employees are not being productive, he should make changes to help remedy that.

This team can't win if it doesn't hit 3's. We were told last year was due to no assistants and not enough time to put his system into place. Welll here we are.with a full training camp and good assistants.and his team still can't figure out how to win if the 3s don't fall.

Yet again I saw a couple instances where guys kicked out for a 3 when the layup was there. The guy is a seat warmer with a challenge.

2 straight losses at home now. Brad won't fire Joe, but it'll be interesting to see the pressure ramp up should he lost a 3rd straight to the Pels and the Cs go on a negative run.

Every time we lose a game, the Fire Joe thread gets bumped up. Not gonna lie, I come here a few times too. But is it just Joe's fault? I haven't watched yesterday's game, but like the last loss to the Nuggets, I happen to notice our star players had much worse stats than the other team's star players.

The pressure could ramp up, but not after just three losses. If the Celtics play bad basketball for a month or something like that. Then you can start talking pressure. It is interesting that people think Joe Mazzulla should be under pressure after a couple of losses, but that Spoelstra isn’t.

It can’t get much more night and day for the Celtics than the last two games. How much did Mazzulla have to do with the big win and how much did he have to do with the bad loss?  I think a lot less in both cases than most people seem to think.

The other part is that the stars wanted Griffin gone (after wanting their championship coach Budenholzer gone).

Joe won't get fired during the season unless he loses the locker room.  Perhaps not coincidentally, two of the only guys I remember coming close to criticizing Joe were Smart and Brogdon, both of whom are gone.

However, the statement was "Spoelstra isn't", rather than "Spoelstra wasn't".

Even if we're butchering the English language, Spoelstra was an 11 season assistant under Riley before taking over.  Mazzulla was a back bench assistant for three seasons.  11 years before getting his first NBA head coaching gig, Joe Mazulla was an alcoholic who battered women.  Apples and apples and all of that, if we want to compare what leashes they should be given.

Get excited as you may, first time they run into a team with a lot of heart and a little talent in May or June, and they're done. So few guys seem to come up with that kind of drive.  They lose a tough game and they're hugging their opponents.  I don't blame Tatum, because I think it's more of a culture-wide thing.

11 years with the Heat, at any rate. We're saying the same thing, though - Spoelstra doesn't have any questions surrounding his coaching ability today because he's had a very good run as a head coach.

I'm just pointing out that no matter who you are, underachieving relative to expectations is a great way to find people clamoring for your job.
