Brogdon needs to be better in the 2nd half.  The ball movement slowed down a lot when he was on the floor.

Non existent defense for most of that 1st half, somethings gotta change. Those last 2 possessions JB was terrible. Stood like a statue and allowed a wide open corner 3 from collins then dribbled the clock away and decided he didnt wanna shoot it 3 feet from the hoop LOL
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

The Hawks can't possibly play better than that.  And we still have a lead.

Man - Hawks are playing great… again.  They continue to get decent looks and make shots.

it’s not a coincidence the hawks are playing well, again; it’s the c’s lack of defense and refusal to make adjustments.

seven game series are about making effective adjustments, but joe is incapable, in over his head, and he’s being exposed in his very first playoff series. he’s not learning and adjusting, and consequently, his head coaching career will be quickly truncated.

not that it would matter if joe figured it out; the J’s are stubbornly unwilling to stray from their comfort zones, which is why they have historically struggled to put away lesser opponents in the playoffs. they don’t adjust.

what’s the definition of insanity? doing the same thing over and over…

There comes a point where if Al isn't hitting his threes, should he really be out there over Timelord or our other bigs? Dude has been a mismatch nightmare for us.

Can someone please tell me why we don’t attach Trae on offense?  They attach Horford every  single play

Incompetent coach. Pretty simple.

The other thing is you make Trae work on defense that way, which affects his shot.

Here's the thing, Al can't stick with Trae on the perimeter when they the switch in the pick & roll and they know it, so they're attacking that. The obvious answer would be for our guards to fight harder over those screens, but Trae's shifty with his handle and can still step back into a ridiculous 3. We could run more traps at him, idk. There's not really a simple answer for Trae in the pick & roll.

Well, the Al switch clearly isn't working, so you have to try something else. Put Smart on him and tell him to stay with him. Have the bigs hedge out on him to stop the drive and quick shot and just ensure the appropriate help if they dump it to the roll man.

You just have to do something else. It's like the drop coverage against GS last year. At some point a change is required no matter what it is, because the status quo isn't working.
