They are paying Dejounte Murray too much respect. Play off of him when he does not have the ball. Shrink the driving lanes for Trae Young and force the ball into Murray's hands instead of Trae's.

You want Murray to be the guy who has to make the play. Not Trae.

Instead they are staying close to Murray as if he were a knockdown three point shooter. He is NOT. Force him to make shots. Force him to make plays. Force the ball away from Trae and to Murray.

I'm not a fan of 5 out
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Awful defense. This team just refuses to bring it on that end for more than a couple of plays

I love JB, but man, he tries to do it on his own way too much!!! Kick it to someone early, everyone knows if he starts driving he rarely passes!!

The Hawks can't possibly play better than that.  And we still have a lead.

Man - Hawks are playing great… again.  They continue to get decent looks and make shots.

I am still saying we need to try doubling Young...
maybe not every trip, but mix it up, and come FAST at him, make him make a quick open read

They are not a great defensive team anymore. Timelord isn’t the same player either. Horford a year older.

Can someone please tell me why we don’t attach Trae on offense?  They attach Horford every  single play

Incompetent coach. Pretty simple.

The other thing is you make Trae work on defense that way, which affects his shot.

Here's the thing, Al can't stick with Trae on the perimeter when they the switch in the pick & roll and they know it, so they're attacking that. The obvious answer would be for our guards to fight harder over those screens, but Trae's shifty with his handle and can still step back into a ridiculous 3. We could run more traps at him, idk. There's not really a simple answer for Trae in the pick & roll.

1) that final possession was such a perfect microcosm of this team and season.

2) the c’s are making trae look like steph.

Crazy game...Cs +4 on rebounds and +1 on OREB.  Cs shooting 47.6% from 3 vs. 39.1 for the Hawks. Cs 4-3 on steals, and 3-2 on blocks.  Each team with 5 turnovers.
