Why do people think a loss is always due to a lack of effort? Was anyone watching Al’s defense on Trae when he made that off balance 3? Or later when we defended for 24 seconds and Murray hit a prayer over White? Sometimes a team shoots lights out. That’s what Atlanta did. I’m sorry but this wasn’t lack of effort. 49-28 rebound differential and a lackadaisical defense effort, which  gave up 130 points in a playoff game = ballgame.

this team still lacks maturity.

Yeah the rebounding is troubling. Not a good sign.

those poo pooing the C's being a bad rebounding team by pointing to the C's having the highest percentage in the league for defensive rebounding weren't paying attention to how this team plays.  The C's consistently give up a number of offensive rebounds and tips resulting in second chance points, particularly late in the game.  today was no exception.  part of that issue this year is Joe not playing Al and Timelord together where one can still get the rebound if the other has to challenge someone driving to the hoop after getting by one of our guards

Obviously a frustrating game and loss but really? People are acting like we just got eliminated lol

I’ll be concerned if they lose Sunday, yes, but I’m still very confident. That was Atlanta’s best. I doubt they do it again

I will be worried if we played well...We shot the ball well from 3 everything else was bad.

End of the first quarter was the start of the issues. Had a chance to get a healthy lead and let Atlanta close the gap. Then the second quarter they were a no show

Not always. Sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce right. Like the two offensive rebounds right before Trae’s miracle shot. Tatum was battling and then Smart took that hard foul. I don’t think the Cs lacked effort. I tend to think basketball is a very random game over the short term. Over a longer series the better team generally wins.

Kinda had to know a let down was eminent after the first two dominant games. Typical NBA stuff.. home team battles back with everything they got to save face .
