Silver made the call to generate more revenue.
He'll want to ensure Warriors and Knicks win tomorrow
silver is a corrupt clown sellout to you know who.
None of US would do it, right? You’re not a corrupt manipulator in your work are you? If your boss asked you to cheat your customers, would you? Would you do it and keep the secret forever? But apparently everyone is in on Silver’s corruption. And was in on Stern’s too. There has never been an honest ref, past or present. All somehow are secretly indoctrinated and sworn to corrupt behavior and lifelong secrecy. Except Donaughy all remain uncaught and silent. And all the players and coaches who are manipulated remain blind or silent. All the owners and front office people remain blind or silent. All the members of the media remain blind or silent. Vegas remains blind or silent too - all those easily manipulated folks who make betting lines just go along with it - not working known corruption into their lines.
For what it’s worth, until I have actual evidence that a person is corrupt I naively make the opposite assumption - that they are generally honest. Imperfect (as humans are) but honest. Too honest in fact to fix games in the NBA. Not saying it’s never happened, but I am saying I doubt it happens as a matter of course. Silver doesn’t make a call or wink his eye or send a bat signal. Players play to win, coaches coach to win, and refs make their foibles based on human error (or possibly influenced by individual biases and emotions) - not on a choreographed and conspiratorial outcome.
Do you still believe in Lance Armstrong? Or his US Postal team where everybody was obligated to take dope?
Or do you have more faith in his competitors like Ullrich, Pantani, Zülle, Dufaux, Virenque, Hamilton, Klöden, Contador, Vinokourov, Basso, Landis, Mancebo, brothers Schleck etc.?
Oh, by the way dope was well known beforehand. Look at the Tour de France in 1998 where multiple teams, riders, doctors, teamleaders were suspended and taken into police arrest.
Despite that Armstrong was able to win 7 times in a row from 1999-2005 fully doped (as his competitors) and was caught almost 7 years later. And all these riders were controlled regularly by official anti-dope-organizations. Journalists were regarded as outcasts when they questioned anything about Armstrong or even threatened.
That almost sounds like a conspiracy doesn't it. Only difference is that now it has been proven to be all true.
It's certainly possible that all referees have instructions to corrupt games in the NBA and that they agree to cooperate to keep their job. A bit unfair to ask a random poster to come up with actual concrete evidence.
