Unless Dillon Brooks was guarding Anthony Davis, I don't want to hear anything about his defense.  He let that "old man" shoot over 50% and get a 28 point 12 rebound game against him.

The old man was a team worst -17, his defense was awful and his team lost by double digit by a team missing its best player and two key rotation players. I know it hurts you to see, but brooks can run his mouth all he wants after this one.

Brooks hit two timely 3s, one of them to essentially put the game out of reach for the Lakers, with Lebron "defending" him from about 8ft away. It was a sorry display of playoff intensity.

Seemed like the Lakers were happy with the split, their stars didn't give much effort.

Exactly I’m beyond exhausted of people giving Lebron a complete free pass for often playing Tre young level defense throughout a game and acting oblivious to the fact that his team has largely been .500 for the last few years when he has played. He is a good offensive one way player, which is amazing for his age, but people got to be realistic.

Man… I almost find myself rooting for the Lakers.

At least to beat Memphis.

Then they can go ahead and lose.

Pretty sure I know the answer to this question: does the nba use a strict bracket for the playoffs?  If Miami beats Milwaukee they don’t reseed, right?  They’d still get the winner of NY / CLE?

yup

I have no idea how AD is still considered a Top-10 player in the league. Hell, I'd argue he might not even be Top-15 (for the playoffs, he probably is, but overall in the league? Maybe not)

He shows up like once every 3-4 games and everyone pounds their chests about it yet ignores those few games in-between. And make no mistake, he was trash last night

Serious question how many people on the forum think he is? I have seen Moranis and another poster or two write it, but not a ton of people.

Oh idk about the forum but I've seen it all over social media. Especially after Game 1. Funny enough though, I barely see it after Game 2, or even the ones who are still posting are just making excuses. Like it's Ham's fault AD isn't getting enough shots despite going 4-14 and playing rather mediocre all night long

I've watched some of both these playoff games despite myself. I can't stand either of these teams.

How is this a debate? Go Grizzlies. Screw the Lakers. Grizzlies won't make the WCF anyways

I third this.  The Lakers as a franchise are insufferable enough, but with Lebron?  They're the most hateable team in the NBA.  You could put Draymond, Ben Simmons, and every other unlikeable player on a team, and I'd still root for them to beat the Lakers.

Kings will solve that problem in round 2.

Admittedly, I haven't watched them much but I find their brand of basketball unpleasant to watch and distasteful. Mean mugging and thuggish. They kind of seem like the modern day version of Detroit Pistons Bad Boys. I admire defensive effort but they just seem to run around like chickens with their heads cut off, relying on strength and athleticism over any real skill or awareness. More so on offense. I particularly dislike Ja Morant. A hollow brand of superstar that doesn't impact winning despite all his highlight plays.

So who is on the all unlikeable team? Let's keep it to an actual "make sense" position wise 10 person roster with current players.

Starters:
Kyrie
D Brooks
Lebron
Draymond
Embiid

Bench:
Grayson Allen
Simmons
Gobert
Marcus Morris
Crowder

Edit: I got too many big wings in Simmons, Morris and Crowder. I hate Crowder the least so Imma add Lowry for point guard depth.
