Man… I almost find myself rooting for the Lakers.

At least to beat Memphis.

Then they can go ahead and lose.

Pretty sure I know the answer to this question: does the nba use a strict bracket for the playoffs?  If Miami beats Milwaukee they don’t reseed, right?  They’d still get the winner of NY / CLE?

I've watched some of both these playoff games despite myself. I can't stand either of these teams.

How is this a debate? Go Grizzlies. Screw the Lakers. Grizzlies won't make the WCF anyways
agreed.  Lakers Lose = Life is Good

I third this.  The Lakers as a franchise are insufferable enough, but with Lebron?  They're the most hateable team in the NBA.  You could put Draymond, Ben Simmons, and every other unlikeable player on a team, and I'd still root for them to beat the Lakers.

So who is on the all unlikeable team? Let's keep it to an actual "make sense" position wise 10 person roster with current players.

Starters:
Kyrie
D Brooks
Lebron
Draymond
Embiid

Bench:
Grayson Allen
Simmons
Gobert
Marcus Morris
Crowder

I ll go with this list all my fav A holes are on it

I was about to have you swap out Morris for Lowry.  But it’s a good list.

I find Gobert and Morris less despicable than Durant and AD so I'd swap those 4.  also would put Lowry in for Crowder but would keep Gobert and Crowder for the 11th/12th men on the roster

Pick up Patrick Beverly as a ring-chaser.

Why do you find AD so unlikeable?

I’m guessing our own Marcus Smart is viewed among the most hateable.   Dennis Schroeder also would make the cut.

I would love seeing D. Green and R. Gobert get into the inevitable dust up...

Unless Dillon Brooks was guarding Anthony Davis, I don't want to hear anything about his defense.  He let that "old man" shoot over 50% and get a 28 point 12 rebound game against him.

The old man was a team worst -17, his defense was awful and his team lost by double digit by a team missing its best player and two key rotation players. I know it hurts you to see, but brooks can run his mouth all he wants after this one.

And yes brooks is absolutely correct Lebron got tired and didn’t have the energy to drive on him which is why he resorted to dead legged pull up 3’s on which he went 1-8. Yes, Davis deserves a lot of blame for his play but it is absolutely absurd to point at lebrons counting stats and act like he had a good game. It’s incredible he can still score but he can’t play defense and score and his -17 is pretty darning.
With Brooks as his main defender, LeBron has scored 26 points on something like 60% shooting with 0 turnovers. It is hilarious for someone as terrible as Brooks to be barking this much. I can't remember as big a group of downhill skiers as this Grizz team.

LeBron might not play much defence (or even try), but Brooks tries his heart out and still gets owned, whilst being terrible on offence.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Embiid? Really?

Yes.

Amazing MVP level talent that can carry a team, plays both ends. No doubt he puts in the work to be a great player.

But likable, not at all. Fake tough guy, will cheap shot opposing players and then essentially run away. Total foul-baiter and flopper, 280 lb guy that falls over if breathed on. Hate his haughty clownish public persona, seems so fake. His words don't backup his actions.

Plus, fair or not, he's on 76ers and the whole process thing. I won't pretend that bias doesn't play a role in exercises like these.

Wooowwwww Embiid just kicked Claxton in the nuts in a scrum. Has to be an ejection, especially with the Draymond precedent just set.

If they don’t there’s going to be some major criticisms for favoritism.

He should be ejected.

Yeah, for kicking a guy in the nuts!
