Draymond Green officially suspended 1 game

Well, well...let's see if the Warriors can come back up from 0-3 now.  ;D

Yeah, I don't make too much of the 0-2 deficit. This was always a closely matched series and GSW plays so well at home vs on the road. They had an excellent chance of tieing up the series over the next two games.

But without Draymond?

What a chance for SAC to deliver a killer blow in Gm 3.

Huge 4th coming up

Have to admit, I didn’t think Westbrook would be playing like a star this series but so far he is and it’s making it very entertaining

I'd like to see KD at center here.

Kawhi is a cyborg… He’s so good.

Series tied heading back to LA.

Clippers did what they needed to do and stole one. Now they need to defend home-court. Suns have woke up tonight it seems.

  • GOT IT!!!
No idea who wins this series. Leaning towards LAC due to their depth. KD and Paul can’t be playing 40 mins a game if they want to go far in the playoffs.

Giannis is listed as doubtful for Game 2 against the Miami Heat? Woah.

Also, other game happening retroactively is the Cavs/Knicks...Cavs up 38-28

Probably the right move. The Bucks are relying a lot on Giannis. They'll still get by Miami in the first round, but if they risk Giannis playing too soon and he reinjures his back or makes it worse, then they are really screwed.

I mean, they might already be screwed if it's going to be a lingering thing this entire postseason, but why risk making it worse just two days later. Game 3 is Saturday, they are better off giving Giannis nearly a week to rehab/rest

back injuries are no joke. they can linger for months even if you feel much better

The only question will be which Sac star (probably Sabonis) will get hurt in advance of the LAL series.

Devin Booker > Kevin Durant

I didn't see the game but it looks like Booker had a great game.  I look at it this way.  Booker is Booker.  He is a top player, but I don't think a put the team on his back to win a championship good player.  If Kevin Durant is less than Booker, the Suns are not going to get out of the West.  They will need Booker to be good but Durant to be better.  That is the whole reason they gave up a King's ransom to get him.  If Durant isn't better than Booker, they should have kept Bridges.

Looks like this is going to be a tough series.

Booker was being a major pest on defense last night too.

I’m pulling for the Clippers!

Booker had a great game, but he had a ton of open shots because the Clippers were doubling Durant and then not rotating over to Booker.  He made his shots, but he had a ton of great looks because the Clippers were so focused on Durant.  Maybe too much so, given how good Booker is, but they weren't being defended the same way.

That makes sense.  Booker is certainly more than good enough to hurt you if you leave him open.  And Durant is smart enough to know to pass if he is doubled.  If Booker is getting better looks than he would have without Durant, than Durant is having an impact.  I Expected PHO to beat LAC.  LAC will adjust now though.  This game was a good omen for PHO.  Durant still played 44 min and Booker 45 min.  Even Chris Paul at 38 min is a lot.  Not sure they can sustain that.

I thought Devin Booker led them last night and in Game 1. Unlike Durant and CP3 who are both too old, Booker played with quickness and hustle on both ends of the court.

He was the only one who could consistently beat his man, get inside the set defense and really create. So much of what Durant and CP3 do is with the whole defense in front of them. They settle for longer harder shots. They do not create as good as opportunities for their teammates because they have not broken down the defense. They haven't forced the defense to scramble, to get out of position, to the same degree as the dribble penetration that Booker provides.

On the defensive side of the court, again, Booker is the only one of the three who is playing with quickness and hustle. He is the only one of the three playing high caliber defense. It is fantastic to see how much he has improved on the defensive side of the ball. He was once a terrible defender, then just about passable to now being a well above average defensive player. Neither Durant or CP3 have the quickness to harrass opponents, to jump passing lanes, they make slower defensive rotations and are more vulnerable to being beat by quickness.

I don't know if Booker is a top 10 NBA player but if he isn't he is just outside the top 10 in that 11-13 range. He is a fantastic player & PHO's true leader. He sets the tempo, the energy for the team.
