What worries me is the part about no MLE and buyout signings for teams above the luxury tax by a decent margin. That could affect us big time down the road. And not just us, but even teams like MIL and LAC
We still have Gallinari for next season, probably Muscala as well for just 3M. But after that? Idk
Time to stop trading draft picks so some of those 1sts turn into end of the rotation players.
on the plus side, we have more draft capital than most other contenders. Picks will be more valuable than ever now, as it's really the only way to improve a team that's way over the cap.
This offseason we'll have an early 2nd rounder - either from Portland (#35) or Houston (#33). And we have our future firsts going forward. So we're in a good spot there. And we have some mid-range contracts to trade as well, especially if we resign grant.
It's the up-and-coming teams who will really benefit from this new system. But we're set up pretty well to withstand it.
