Jaylen should go to the Hawks. I bet they would appreciate him there.

Lol. With their imaginary fanbase? Okay...

All 7 fans would love that he was there.

Jaylen was booed here day 1. I’m not sure it has gotten better.

He was booed her day 1 because most considered him a reach at #3. To say that hasn't changed is just not based in fact or reality. There are dedicated swaths of this fanbase that believe wholeheartedly that he's better than Tatum and should be our #1 option.

Haha they wanted Kris Dunn, Jamal Murray, or Dragan. Horrible takes.

Fans thought Markelle Fultz was the next NBA great and were mad about trading back to get Tatum. Drafts are a 20/20 crap shoot.

Maybe…. Neither Ben Simmons or Markelle Fultz could get to the tourney. Big red flag.

So far taking care of the ball, only 1 turnover.

Grant has really fallen off the rotation.

There's got to be more than his on the court play. Either his injury is more serious than reported, or perhaps Grant's mouth got him in trouble.

Does he have some contract incentives that management is keeping him from?

Howitzer!

I wonder if his reemergence is part of why Grant's minutes have fallen off? He's held his own defensively when out there, even when getting picked on.

I was thinking this too. Sam’s D has improved a lot. He has been getting blocks as well.

The Cs are no longer a good defensive team. They have no identity.

Yep. Honestly, it's like our identity is to just mimic the opponent and the overall flow of the game. Atlanta came out with a fast, uptempo, high-octane offensive first, and we copied.

But, yeah, our defensive rotations are just non-existent. Some of this is the absence of Timelord and new rotations by Joe, but we're definitely not a consistently goo defensive team.

Chris Gasper said this on radio yesterday and I found it interesting. The C's have the best defensive rating of all teams when they lose, BUT their have the worst offensive rating of all teams when they lose. So basically, that means even when they play awesome defense, they aren't guaranteed to win games, whereas if the offense stutters, the entire team stutters and lose (because, surprise surprise, "live by the 3, or die by it")

It made sense to me. Last year's team was defensive-minded and they could win that way if needed. This year's team HAS to make 3s or simply make a lot of their shots, or they are doomed. It's like they try to replicate Golden State with outscoring opponents or winning a high-scoring affair, but while the C's do have shooters they don't have the historic talent like GSW does.

Mazzula himself has literally said he hopes the team takes more 3s. Hell, after the C's blew their 28-point lead against BKN recently, Mazz straight up said he was concerned that we were taking too many easy layups instead of 3s and it might cost us. It did, but that logic did seem odd to me. But that's also analytics nowadays in the NBA. Love the 3s.

Sports betting began in MA recently, but now every single sport it's just littered even in in-break commercials or updates  ::)

I mean, you joke, but we were literally on something like a 17-2 extended run in the four minutes preceding the timeout, and they've subsequently went on a 11-6 run after the timeout. Sooooooo....
