This season was screwed the minute Ime couldn’t keep it in his pants. Joe isn’t the right guy for this team. Too green and too much of a soft coach. Tatum isn’t a leader so it needs to come from the coach like it did Ime last year. Can’t go with Joe next year.

This. Tatum is soft, and he is not a leader.  Joe got his tenure and feels indebted to his star players, hence the lack of accountability,

the espn pregame team spent considerable time discussing why jayson is trailing jokic and giannis in the mvp race.

welp, there you go, espn.

Wasting away a promising start to the season.

We've pretty much blown the 1 seed opportunity now, but more so our offensive philosophy, i.e. "Mazzulla Ball" aka jack up as many threes as possible regardless of quality, is clearly flawed and exposed when we're not hitting a good clip from three.

Joe is simply not good enough at this point in his career to be leading this team. His offensive philosophy is flawed, and he doesn't have the defense anywhere near the level Ime did to make up for it. He also has no clue how to manage rotations and decision in-game. But his biggest failure has been the lack of accountability and discipline instilled in the players, which shows up in nights like tonight. That's what Ime did well, and once he got their buy-in mid-season, they never didn't play hard like this.

Just unbelievably poor performance from him and the players tonight.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

28 point lead cut to 19 in less than 7 minutes....they got all full of themselves and starting messing around...Smart and Brown the main culprits. Laughing it up.

The Nets came back up and killed the Celtics before like that a few seasons ago. Down by large deficit. Ugh.

Wasn’t that last season? I know they blew some big leads and lost games last year.

Yeah I think so, against the Nets at the Garden. But regardless, the C's keep blowing large leads and losing games like that it's not good.

They’ve been doing this since Brad was the coach. At the end of the day, it’s on the players. Just a complete lack of effort.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The possession where the Nets got 5 offensive boards in a row still sticks out.  Yeah, they missed all of the shots.  Still one of the most pitiful stretches of basketball I've seen in years.

Mazzula with a bunch of random guesswork and desperation.  No real plan or strategy.  No sense of the flow of the game or what adjustments might work.  Just fling crap at the wall and hope by luck that something works.

This team doesn't have it this year. Up 22 in the first quarter and they lose at home. Pathetic. They lost their mojo. You would think they would have learned from the Finals last season and from the experience they got from the numerous Eastern Conference finals they played in in recent years. This Celtics team is insane because they keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Milwaukee is the team to beat in the East and the Suns are the team to beat in the West. The Celtics should have gotten Durant.

Well when one of the leading teams in the NBA absolutely lays down and collapses it is a shocking story.  So after that debacle it really is what the organization deserves.

Maybe all of the players and coaching staff should be forced to watch game 6 of our loss at home in the Finals against the Warriors.  They might say that they've learned and know what it takes to win, but they sure haven't shown it.

Ugh so many unhappy people on here trying to find happiness through overreacting.

Prozac and deep breathing might be more effective.

Yup, I esp hate to see them smile and laughing if they lose a key game esp at home. They better be frowning and going home angry and disappointed on a Friday night. All of them.

I think the biggest mistake this season is announcing Joe as the permanent head coach before the ASG. Should've waited till banner 18.

Timelord getting injured. Is it time to move on from this guy? Can't seem to stay healthy consistently. Looking like Anthony Davis out there
