Need to give Embiid credit he is one helluva a player and makes his free throws.

Yeah I really noticed Embiid not settling tonight.  Kept attacking and attacking.
When he shoots so well from the line, the fouls are like layups.  For some reason the guys around him in Philly just aren't enough it seems.
But this is one of the first games where we played Embiid, where I was super impressed that he never took the foot off the pedal.

Yeah, Harden in particular looks like he's just coasting

Grant is bringing so little offensive production these days.  I think he got too much time down the stretch.

I don't mind him on the court in this game but if he's in, he needs to be guarding Embiid.  I think he does a good job of keeping his chest in front and forcing Embiid to be a jumpshooter.  Instead we put Al on Embiid, which wasn't working for us in this game, and left Grant on either Tucker or Harris which isn't nearly as useful.  Poor use of resources imho.

Agree about his offensive production though.  We need more from him.  Probably not the impression a guy in a contract year wants to be making.

Celtics own Philly. What a great play Mazz drew up at the end. Give credit where credit is due.

Exactly. And that is exactly why you take the timeout in that situation, which he has tended to not do this season. Even you have to admit that.  ;)
death, taxes, and ......... jpotter disliking joe's use of timeouts.   ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Don't know the exact stat, but just heard this on NBATV:

Since 1996 when they started tracking this, of all 155 players with 25 fga or more in clutch situations, Tatum is number one in that group. Unclear if that's fg%, number of makes, or what, but my goodness what a stat.

Here’s the stat. Amazing.

Updated: Since the NBA started tracking play-by-play data in 1996, there are 155 players who have attempted 25+ FGs to tie or take the lead in the final 24 seconds of the 4th quarter (playoffs included).

Jayson Tatum ranks 1st out of 155 with a 51.7% field goal percentage.

Anything over 50% is wild.  So many of those shots are contested or with minimal time on the clock.

Just finished watching on the dvr, idk if my heart could take anymore lol. Couple things I noted, Marc Davis and his crew are the biggest joke of officials in any sport. My god its ridiculous having to deal with the wishy washyness of that crew.

And speaking of terrible, is there a worse commentating crew in all of sports than the trio of jackson, van gundy, and breen? Those guys are so garbage and biased its laughable. Breen says towards the end of 1st half that philly has over double the amount of free throws than boston but thats because all Boston shoots are 3s as philly at that time had more 3pt fga than boston LOL. Then when Tucker ran over Smart in the 1st half and the refs clearly got it wrong JVG says "its a bad call but i dont care because they deserve the blocking foul every time" as if we should just let Embiid bowl over players all game. And jackson had a similar idiotic take in the 2nd half that I cant remember at the moment. Man I wish there was a way to mute the commentary but keep the game and crowd audio or better yet let each teams home broadcast do every game and give the option to switch to the other bums. End Rant lol.

PS JT is colllddd as ICE!!
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

So is Muscala hurt, or did Joe forget that he's on this roster lol?

No MM, PP and very little Sam the man.

I think it really depends on Matchups. Would like to see more Muscala and less Grant, but I get why Joe stuck with G-Will for this particular game.

Grant is bringing so little offensive production these days.  I think he got too much time down the stretch.
I dont think Ive ever really been on the Grant Will bandwagon but these past few months definitely should have some people jumping off. He is basically useless on offense except for open corner 3s which he cannot hit anymore. And me personally I feel like hes one of the most overrated defenders in the NBA. People like to throw around the "elite defender" title a little too much when it comes to Grant and I just dont see it. He has the beef to be able to take hits from the likes of Embiid and Giannis but after that he does nothing. Doesnt move his feet good and gets abused on the switch far too often.

Imagine if we could upgrade him to a PJ Tucker or Bobby Portis type player

You guys can call me crazy but I'd like to see Kornet playing against Embiid. IMO Kornet gives him some trouble with that size and length. Embiid can't just go over the top of him like he does these other bigs.

So after the consternation regarding Rob Williams during the Pacers game, I feel like it's important to note here:  he looked much better physically tonight.  He's still not moving laterally like '22 Rob did, but he ran the court very well and his overall activity looked improved.

And yet I’ve seen a lot of people on this board claim Tatum isn’t clutch. Cmon now! JT is a stone cold killer at the end of games

even blake goes a decent job on Joel cause blake is Strong, Kornet has the length but he might be our weakest big on the block.

Sixer fans saying they are not worried about Boston after tonight. Boston played about a B- or C game and still won.

Philly fans in all sports are just idiots.

Yep. People refuse to give him credit because he has a different philosophy on timeouts. In the meantime,  the C’s continue to win games and still have the best record in all of basketball.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
