So is Muscala hurt, or did Joe forget that he's on this roster lol?

I do think it's a potential preview of postseason rotations.

The 8-man rotation of Smart-Brown-Tatum-Horford-Timelord-White-Brogdon-GWill

I'd still like to see a little Hauser and Muscala mixed in. Guessing the plan is to use Muscala a lot down the stretch though as insurance when 1 of Horford/Timelord is hurt or resting, but so far Horford/Timelord are playing

What a game.  I almost had a heart attack when that heave went in.

It’s great to see we’re winning games even when Tatum doesn’t play like a superstar.

agree with all of this, and will add that joe needs to have some tough conversations regarding who’s in the 4Q crunch time rotation.

The Celtics defeated the 76ers 110-107 after Jayson Tatum hit a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final seconds.

Over the last 5 seasons, Tatum has 9 game-tying or go-ahead FG inside the final 5 seconds of the 4th quarter and OT, the most in the NBA during that span.

Clutch.

Celtics own Philly. What a great play Mazz drew up at the end. Give credit where credit is due.

Exactly. And that is exactly why you take the timeout in that situation, which he has tended to not do this season. Even you have to admit that.  ;)

He does call timeouts in those situations. He’s better than Ime at drawing up plays at the end of games.

He absolutely does not lol He's been complicit in several losses this season for that exact reason - the game in Miami, the recent Milwaukee loss if I remember right, etc. He has regularly let them play through it without calling the timeout, leading to us not getting a good shot at all.

Oh, right. He should have called the timeout to remind Grant not to dribble the ball off his own foot vs the Bucks. Forgot about that. Coach should have definitely seen that one coming.  :blank:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Great win!

Coming back from a 15 point deficit on the road against a top 3 team is impressive.

The bench demolished the Sixers. Transition defense is Philly’s Achilles heel and they did a great job of consistently pushing the pace.

The Horford run was a welcome momentum shifter.

Props to JT, JB, the team, and Mazulla for increasing ball security; JT started to pass early instead of driving into clogged lanes. He will have to find better ways to counter that defense moving forward because the top teams will continue to throw that at him; he did exactly that tonight.

I think it really depends on Matchups. Would like to see more Muscala and less Grant, but I get why Joe stuck with G-Will for this particular game.

That Embiid last second shot gave me shades of the 2018 Playoffs BOS-PHI Game 3...Marco Bel shot a jumper sending them to OT and the confetti started falling, but we still took care of business to take a 3-0 series lead  ;D

Grant is bringing so little offensive production these days.  I think he got too much time down the stretch.

So if Embiid’s shot counted, would they have dropped confetti?

Don't know the exact stat, but just heard this on NBATV:

Since 1996 when they started tracking this, of all 155 players with 25 fga or more in clutch situations, Tatum is number one in that group. Unclear if that's fg%, number of makes, or what, but my goodness what a stat.

He made a couple of good defensive plays on Embid, but other than that, didn’t do much. 4pts, 5rebs in 29 mins… 1-6 from the field.  :-X

Wow. What a stat. Missed the game live but will watch the replay on league pass. Great win guys!
