We’ve now seen what players were traded, and what they cost.  What moves would you have tried to do?  It’s impossible to tell what deals were available weeks ago, but feel free to argue how you would have used the TPE that expired in January.

Like to have Poeltl but think we did good with Muscala..needed someone to help out TimeLord & Al..
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

Probably would have offered the TPE and a 2nd for Mo Bamba.  I think I'd prefer him over Muscala?  I'm not very familiar with Muscala's game though.

I prefer Muscala. He is a true vet. Ready to play, ready to help. Reliable. Very good offensively. Adequate defensively.

Mo Bamba is low energy, low engagement, inconsistent, low IQ with large physical talent. Upside but never show the work ethic to fulfill his potential.

Neither of the TPEs we had in the last month would have fit Bamba, for what it’s worth.

After watching last night’s game without 4 starters beat the Sixers, I’m pretty happy with what they did today.
Pretty sure they pick up a buy out wing and think it’s a championship caliber team

No complaints seems most the other deals out there required a ton of seconds or a 1st plus a second. I actually prefer Muscala to Poeltl due to fit and contract. Maybe they find a wing via buyout.

Completely agree with this assessment. Also noticed that the Thunder fans are all disappointed that they lost Muscala (similar to the San Antonio Fans with Derrick White) while the Magic fans are indifferent about losing Bamba. Muscala has earned his place on a true contender.

If Lebron can turn Bamba into a player hats off to him because so far I haven't see it.

I know a recent former Magic player. I asked him last year if he thought Mo would ever live up to the pre-draft hype, and he simply started laughing before saying something along the lines of “great guy, but no.” I inferred that he either didn’t have the work ethic to be great or had some abundantly clear limitation towards his potential, which is probably why he hasn’t played or been paid much.

Yep. Muscala was high on my list given his low cost and salary and our needs. Preferred him over both Mamba and Poeltl.

I mean, of our top 10 guys we only have one non-shooter (who still provides vertical spacing), and we have substantial lineup versatility now with both our guards/wings and now bigs. Add another backup wing and we’re primed for a deep run.

PG: Smart, Brogdon, PP
SG: Brown, White
SF: Tatum, Hauser/buyout
PF: Horford, GWill
C: Timelord, Muscala
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Hard to find anything to gripe about honestly.

We had a pretty narrow range of players who we had both the need for and the ability to acquire.  We got some bench help behind Horford and Williams.  That’s good.  Up to Hauser to hold down the fort at backup wing unless we like a buyout guy.  Hopefully not Ross, lol.

After last night ,  I think we have to keep Grant Williams .  He is TIMEX watch this team needs to fill in for other injured players.  White too…we need everyday guys to go with the stallions.

I would have loved to get Mcdaniels from Charlotte. Could we have gotten him for PP?

I am happy but want a wing buy out.     I am glad that we got a person that can spell Rob and Al and get them some rest.

I can’t really complain about the deadline.  I’m quite happy with MM, who fits our needs quite well.  I didn’t see a wing traded that we could have easily obtained.  Jalen McDaniels would have been nice, but I can see not wanting to beat Philky’s offer.
