Are the Celtics waiting on Will Barton decision, or have they decided, nah, we good.

Pacers game with everyone but Gallo available, no PT for PP or Moose, minimal minutes for G Will, makes me feel the latter.

Tony Snell to take the slot? (we are required to fill the last roster slot, right? Could we convert one of the 2 way guys?)

We aren't required to fill it, but there's no real reason not to (other than paying more luxury tax)
I'm bitter.

That's a good reason! Doesn't really seem the need to add anyone at this point.

Wyc said we’d fill it.

One option:  sign somebody on the last day of the regular season, with a second year non-guaranteed.

I think we definitely should sign someone.  We are already down 1 due to Gallinari.  If we don't sign anyone, that would leave us with only 13.  Even though it probably doesn't make any difference, if the 14th guy is playing, there are bigger issues, but we should have 14 guys for the playoffs.

Will Barton seems to be taking his sweet time deciding where to play next. Is there a deadline for him in order to be playoff eligible?

I think he’ll take his time a bit more.  He wants playing time on a contender, so it makes sense for him to a) see the post trade deadline rotations of teams and b) see if anyone gets hurt in the next week or so that would open up a rotation spot for him.

Agreed. I don’t think he’s coming to Boston. Barton is really just a SG and Boston has that covered with Brown, Smart, White, Brogdon. Would rather have Stanley Johnson who can play the 3 and 4.

I agree that Boston is a long shot for Barton but he needs to get in with a team fairly soon if he wants to be able to be a part of a core rotation.  It takes some time, some games, some practices, to be able to be fully integrated into a team's rotation.  I don't think he can just show up and start chucking.

He does, tho, which might be part of his problem.

You may be right but if that is the case, he needs to go to Detroit, not a contender.  Toronto may be a place he can get shots.  He could play a SG/SF combo role for them, something they need.

Stanley Johnson or Juan Toscano-Anderson would be ok for me. Hustle guys that should be OK with the deep bench but can play a little in a pinch.

Now maybe we sign Stanley Johnson?
