All ya experts already predicting this would be a disaster for Dallas...I beg to dissagree.

KD and Kyrie thrived and infact were the best team in the east prior to KD goin down..i certainly see the same thing happening in Dallas.

Cuban has made a brilliant move imo and the only hitch really is if Kyrie goes back to being his other self...meaning the one that the Cs had.

The Js have doun alright with having the bulk of the scoring load...same is goin to happen in Dallas...Luka needs help and not just a Robin to his Batman but another co 1b to his 1a..
This also allows Doncic to play off ball at times and this will allow Dallas to offswt those early double teaming Doncic receives and it would be hard now to contain Doncic because there is Kyrie also to keep defenses honest.

Dallas went almost all the way last yr with Doncic by himself what more now with Kyrie...Irving just really need to be focused to basketball and nothing else and they are good.

🤥

Perhaps this was true in some alternate universe, but surely not this one.

Exactly. When were they ever the best team in the East? They underachieved every single year that Kyrie was in Brooklyn.

Wow. The Suns reportedly offered CP3, Crowder and picks for Kyrie

CP3's value has taken a nosedive

Joe Tsai's objective was to not send Kyrie to the Lakers. Now that's an owner move I can respect. Got a little Celtic in him there.

But Kyrie will leave for the Lakers in the offseason, which is unfortunately inevitable

I think there’s a chance Dallas resigns him, specially with no income tax?

The Clippers offer for Kyrie Irving:

Luke Kennard
Terance Mann
one future first
two first-round pick swaps
Salary filler

Brooklyn declined.

I don't know. I think having a future first plus two first round pick swaps was pretty good. I guess the Nets preferred Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith for a win now strategy.

So Kyrie makes $36.9M/year. Kennard makes $14.4M and Mann is at $1.93M/year. That trade offer rumor doesn’t seem to add up…

Just $20M in salary filler. No big deal…  :police:

I don't see the Mavs as being that bad defensively.

Dwight Powell does a good job on defense. JaVale McGee as well. So a solid 1-2 punch at center. The four main starters Kyrie, Tim Hardaway, Luka Doncic and Christian Wood are all middle of the pack defenders. Reggie Bullock is a good defender off the bench. Ntilinka a high level defender. Maxi Kleber is below average but adequate. Bertans is lousy. Josh Green good.

Dallas should be able to build a respectable team defense out of that.

Kyrie looks so confused. "Weren't we supposed to win? Why didn't somebody cut to commercial?"

Even if the Lakers renounce everyone except AD and LeBroid they can still only offer $35m, while Dallas can do $50m due to bird rights.

IMO Kyrie's ego will drive him to get that $50m above all else.
