Damon with a solid job coaching another win.

I like him better than Statue Joe, he was engaged and used his timeouts well.
I would like to see us get back to our off-ball movement.
The ball is moving well, but the players not as much right now.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

The Clippers did a great job of mucking it up to keep it close; great to see the guys grind out a win against them (we were 0-3 in the last 3 games).

Great game sealing block by Al. There are very few Centers that can do that and he’s one of them.

Grant with 10rebs. I think that might be a career high. Impressive.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Nice to see us rely on our defense to close out. Hated how we slowed down offense. And turnovers almost cost us.

Yeah, we were doing great until we started playing 'run out the clock'

The Defense showed up with the game on the line tonight. Really good sign and a great win vs a quality team.  If they stay healthy, the Clippers have a real good chance of winning the West.

A win is a win is a win, but man we've got to stop letting our foot off the pedal.

It’s obvious when it happens and you can predict when it happens that the game isn’t over.  Up 10 they just stopped.  Clips went frenetic and Cs couldn’t handle it. And they were  out of their offense and let LA take over. So, a DW block prevents a 1 point game with 30 seconds left. Clips would have had a chance to tie or win.

is it wrong that I want Damon to be named coach if for no other reason than I'd much rather listen to his post-game interviews than Mazz doing his best Belicheck imitation?

Next game vs Denver will be another good test for this team. The Nuggets have been playing great of late. And I’m sure they haven’t forgotten that shellacking we gave them last time around.

Got to love Damon.  In addition to seeming like a good guy, he was one of the best pound for pound (inch for inch?) offensive players ever.

Not wrong at all. So far I'm liking Damon.

You do realize that there are lots of coaches who looked very engaged yet are disasters and get fired all the time? That isnt what makes a good coach. The Cs also executed poorly down the stretch, if that was Mazz you'd be criticising that.

You complain when things arent the same as your traditional beliefs. You complained about Abby you complained about freakin cheerleaders. Things change, innovations happen, time moves.

Anyway I popped in to post one last time. Guys who I respected are moving away from these boards due to sheer amount of negativity even in wins. Celticsclay, nick etc are now gone and Im stuck with grumpy guys who overreact to little things and Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. about everything.

To roy, gouki, ozgoz and the rest of guys i respect thanks for all the good times. Jpotter who I sometimes disagree with but is still rational thanks for the debates.

These forums have been fun through good and bad times. Sad the negativity is starting to overpower everything. See ya!

He is criticizing a coach.

You are criticizing him for doing it.

That's a huge difference!
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

sorry to see you go, but i understand your point on negativity, it has grown here over time and is a problem. i have stepped away myself a few times just to avoid it.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
