see that Joe.  other coaches know to call a TO when momentum shifts.  you could learn something from that

Al makes two quick 3s and boom, Pacers take a timeout.  That's what you do Joe.

again, after the timeout in the first quarter did the celtics fix their problems? no. it is more than that.

Some of our problems lately is not making shots.  We are in a huge slump shooting the basketball.
But it isn't all just shooting.  Teams are just going off on us night after night now.  Hard to watch tonight.

Yep, this.

More and more I've come to think that this is all bad habits after winning the first part of the season on hot shooting and high-efficiency offense. There were warning signs of not playing the right way - particularly defensively - with us just trying to outscore the opponents. Now we're not used to winning games through hard work and defense that was our entire MO last year. It should've been a major red flag to us that our entire game and philosophy seemingly switched over night.

Worse - Joe is just continuing to encourage this by refusing to make any adjustment and hanging his hat on the shots starting to fall. So the guys just continue to play that way, jacking up bad three after bad three because that's the direction they're given.

Ime truly, royally screwed us this summer. I really don't think we're having these issues with Ime. We likely wouldn't have had such a good offense to start, but we'd been much more well-rounded and not falling to these lows with him.

Excellent Point.

I remember when we were hammering teams with our beautiful offense a few weeks ago but once in awhile,
someone would ask, "But where did the #1 defense go ?"

A lot of us (me included) thought, Oh it's ok, the defense will come around and then they will really be good.
Well, the offense has slumped due to a few specific reasons that have been mentioned and the defense and overall effort are no longer there as our fundamental team identity. We got real happy with all that fun offense and quit working hard.

Quick 3 is just stupid...pass the ball, cut...we can get better
