Wouldn’t be human to not have a regret whenever you make a decision to move on from a player who then turns out to be better than expected. When trading or letting go of young players it’s a gamble and sometimes, as in the cases of Strus, Bol, Bane (etc) you have to have a thought or 2 wishing you made a different decision. However, you can’t be a successful GM if you dwell on it. You have a thought and you move on. I’ll bet Danny and Brad have not lost much sleep over their mistakes. I think they have to always turn their thoughts to the present and to where you go from here. Every GM hopes that, on balance, the decisions they make are good ones that more than compensate for their bad ones.
