I love the national recognition that he’s getting.

Hopefully, the refs take notice and give him the calls that Lebron and Giannis typically get.

If they were voting for MVP today Tatum would be a clear winner. It's a long season and I hope Tatum can keep up this pace.

Jaylen Brown is 10th on the list.  That is more of a surprise to me than seeing Tatum as #1.

I would say the top 5 all make plenty of sense.

As he should.  Giannis is the only guy who you could even argue otherwise, which that stupid ladder has him at 4.  Nonsense.  Giannis is clearly 2.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

He has been exceptional this year on both sides of the ball. I am having a blast watching the Celtics, and he is the engine behind all of it.

Giannis is shooting terribly this year....

It’s shocking how much better  Tatum is this year and he already was a great player.
MVP is a weird award. Do you guys think it’s essentially “ the most outstanding player in the world “ each year ? Most valuable to the league as a whole? To his team?

well what do you know...our guy JT at the top of the MVP list!
BUT....also, another Celtic has showed up in the top 10 for the first time, Jaylen Brown!

This should prompt some interesting discussion. lol....

I'm feeling fairly validated about my opinions from earlier in the year - that Tatum would get the attention and hype if the C's were cooking. I think it makes sense that you'd see it with Brown as well.

I did not think Jaylen would get so much love - sidekicks typically don't get the credit they deserve on all-time great teams. I'm very pleased to see that the league is starting to see the value of excellent 2s/1Bs who can step up as 1s in a pinch though.

And it's not like this is a Rose/AI situation - he's genuinely at least an '87 McHale type of player right now.

Aaand he pulls up a stinker of a game...real MVPs still score 20 plus on their stinker games but not JT...he just reminded me that he is good..but he is not on Luka's level offensive wise.

Real MVPs find ways to contribute when their shots aren’t falling. He did have 14 rebounds.
