Past title teams simply did not lose these types of games, a bad to mediocre opponent at home.
Think of the 60's dynasty, the 70's and 80's teams and Garnett's guys.
It would happen every so often, maybe once or twice in a season.
This team is so shaky.

Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

What's our record again?

Hope the C’s decide to play some defense in the second half.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I was surprised that OKC’s Williams only had 12 points.  Then I realized they have 3 guys named Williams.

No one else will bring it up so I will. Jaylen's passing over the last couple of games has been off the charts good. He had 8 assists in his last game but hit 8 other guys with wide open shots, like no one within 6 feet, that they missed. 5 assists tonight and a couple more guys missing open shots. He's seeing the floor better in the offensive end and making the right decision in getting the ball to the man with a great shot available to them. If he keeps that up all year, it's going to make this team so much more dangerous.

Well the good news is that we're still very much within reach.  Plenty of basketball left in this one.  Need to play better defensively and on the glass though.  Would be nice if some of the Jays' open threes go down too... 1-11 between them.

Let’s see one of those killer third quarter guys, time to wake up!

Why the decline in our defense so far this year ?

Is Mazzulla not demanding enough ?
Is the offense so good that the players don't feel the need to work as hard on defense ?
I know that Rob Williams is out, but they have played solid defense without him before ?
We are ducking under on screens, which does not work. Seems we fought over them last year more.
We are getting killed from 3 and give up layups to cutters in the half-court constantly.
Last in the league in creating turnovers, we were a swarming beehive last season.

What is the word in Boston ?
On talk radio and from the sportswriters ?
Are player comments offering any insight or do they just repeat cliches ?

For all their incoherent babbling, I thought these announcers nailed the problem .....
We are constantly a step late on defense this year.

Another missed wide open 3. Good play call by Mazzula

Our defense this game is terrible.

If this D doesn't improve he needs to stay the interim coach.... We've had problems all year and this is more than Rob just being out.

This team is so shaky.

Good teams drop games to lesser teams nearly every night in the NBA.  That's not some uncommon thing.  Also... it's halftime, lol.  Lots of time left.

All three of our losses this season were to likely playoff teams.

If you want to take issue with the defense we've seen this year, that's fair.  We haven't defended as well as we should.  In the same breath, we're 10-3 while playing at a historic offensive pace.  So 'shaky' is unfair IMO.  Need to get Brogdon and Rob back, and need to improve our defense.  Overall we're playing good ball on the year.

This is where Ime would be ripping the guys. We're just going through the motions out there right now.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
