No surprise that 538 currently has a very positive view of the Celtics.

RAPTOR player ratings for the Celtics:
Highest projected record - 57-25
Highest Chance of making Finals - 35%
Highest Chance of winning Finals - 23%

Elo forecast for the Celtics:
Highest projected record - 57-25
Highest Chance of making Finals - 33%
Highest Chance of winning Finals - 20%

Both projections have the Grizzlies 3rd, Nuggets 5th, and the 76ers 6th.  Celtics wins against those three helps the Cs ratings. 

I know it's early and many on this forum discount 538.  I don't care, the Cs are playing great ball and I am thinking #18 looks very possible this year.

Don’t know how to evaluate those stats-based systems, but I agree they’ve got a real shot at 18. Most important thing now is good health (knocks wood).
