Yeah, the Nets have fully committed to letting the lunatics run the asylum, so that was entirely predictable.

That said, even if Kyrie and Durant weren't actively undermining him, he just didn't seem to be a great coach.

So much for opportunities to grow and understand new perspectives.

I don't see this making the Nets better.

Not that Nash is any good, but he definitely isn't the problem this year.  That said, I'm not sure he is doing anything to make it better either.

Hope it continues to be a dumpster fire over there.

The Nash tell-all about his tenure should be something else.

Speaking of bin fires, looks like Udoka might be a candidate?

Happened faster than I thought it would, but I didn’t think Nash would make it through the year.  The question is does Marks get to keep his job through the season, or is he ousted in advance of the trade deadline?

Yikes.

I immediately assumed Ime was their target when I first saw this news. One would guess the wheels are already in motion to get him from us.
Could we trade Udoka for draft picks? Or would this simply be a release and resign situation?

Assistant coach Jacque Vaughn is the acting head coach tonight but expect the Nets to inquire with suspended Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka and former Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder, among others, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Boston will let Udoka leave for another job, sources said.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

wouldn't be surprised to see him go too.  acquiring Simmons and keeping Kyrie have really turned that franchise into a freaking mess.  add in Durant already wanting out before his new contract started has to have cemented his ouster before the end of this season

sure, a first rounder for them to hire Ime would be a minimum I think.

I don't know that this is the case given that Ime appears to be more or less fired from the C's already - but I'd happily take one if it's on the table.

I'm not very good at knowing the motivations of GMs/ownership, but it would seem to me that it would be a gift to C's management for the Nets to hire Ime. Cs may ask for a draft pick, but Nets would be foolish to give one.
