This has been such terrible optics for the NBA. They had no problem suspending and blackballing Meyers Leonard for his anti-semetism, but have no problem looking the other way for Kyrie's anti-semetism.

It's kinda like the way the have the referees officiate games. Superstars get all the great calls for them and refs look the other way when superstars foul, but guys who aren't superstars get constant bad calls against them. In Boston we call that Theisism.

Kyrie is, and always has been the following:

1.  a guy that believes he is the smartest person in every room he enters
2.  an odd intellectual
3.  a pretty classic narcissist
4.  an a**hole

The more people have let him pontificate and get away with his narcissistic **** tendencies, the more those qualities have come out.  He has basically just kept falling upward. 

I'm glad the Nets finally did something about it.  Hopefully it sticks some.

Actually I just read Shams' tweet and the quotes. Let me get this straight, the Nets are "taking a stand" and even say he's unfit to be part of their organization right now... but it's basically just a 5-game suspension only... 

5 games minimum until "he satisfies a series of remedial measures"

Aka "he'll apologize or we'll just have him watch a few short training videos and solve the problem" 

If they ever want him to play again, it's gonna have to be the videos. After the COVID brouhaha last year, I don't see him apologizing.
