Shaq is petty, but Dwight's a clown so it evens out.

He's always been like that - super sensitive. Every time someone takes a harmless jab at him or makes a joke about him he defaults to his "rings". Like I fully respect guys like Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, etc. for all being able to take a joke even if it's about them

Giannis injured his hand...yikes.

I wonder if it’ll keep him out of the ASG?

It would be insane if he didn’t. I get these guys like palling around with each other. But if your team has any remote chance of a championship don’t suit up. Stay home and rest. Especially if you are a player like Gianni’s, Embid or Lebron that have had or will do this over ten times. It’s insane to me these guys would even consider playing and not healing for their teams.
Embiid has already talked about possibly skipping it due to a sore foot.  Being selected is what is important.  Once a player has participated a couple of times, I don't see the draw/value for doing so anymore.

Yeah I saw that, and good for him, but he probably learned his lesson from playing a few years back when he absolutely shouldn’t have and ended up missing a big chunk of the second half after (he didn’t specifically reinjure his knee in the game but think it was pretty widely accepted he should have just taken the time off and rested. Let’s see what Giannis and Lebron do. Lebron has obviously missed 5 of the last 6 games and says he has been in excruciating pain all season. Would be pretty absurd if he played.

I agree in general, but I think this was a lot more true in the past about Dwight. He is out of the news and pretty quietly just playing basketball and making a little money overseas (which I think would be cool if more former stars did). It is approaching weird to take unprovoked shots at him at this point unless Dwight said something that hasn’t been shared.

The comment came during a 75 minute podcast when Candace Parker brought up Howard.

And, Shaq's not wrong.  The Taiwanese league is one of the worst in the world.  Dwight should be Bill Russell over there.  Instead, his team is 3-11, in last place.  (Interestingly, the team also has Deyonta Davis on it.  I remember when some were projecting him as a lottery pick.)

Apparently Howard will also take place in their 3-point contest over there

Clippers best team in West? Don’t laugh but they may be come April
Leonard
George
Powell
Gordon
Mann
Zubac
Plumlee
Morris
Batum
And now maybe Westbrook
Only thing may hurt them is age & injuries but I wouldn’t be surprise if they come out in the West..But right now I put Denver & Memphis over them but like I said, I wouldn’t be surprised
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Why do they have to waive Brown?  He’s on a 2-way and not taking up space for a buyout.

Also, there is zero reason for the Celtics to bring in Moses Brown.

The Clippers health has always been the concern with them.  If they remain relatively healthy the rest of the regular season and enter the playoffs healthy, then they might very well be the favorite.  They have a clear talent advantage in the west against every team that isn't Denver or Phoenix, and they are on par with those 2.  They have to be healthy though and I just don't think that is going to happen.

The Clippers, Suns, Nuggets and Mavs all can make a case for it. Despite the LA media hype being on overdrive, the Lakers are nowhere near being in that list. They'll be fortunate if they can avoid the play-in tournament.

I thought he was waived. Something about having played 50 games. Not sure the Celtics will be interested in any case but I think he was waived.
