AD looked disgruntled the other night when LeBron broke the record. Do ya think he may have had it with LBJ and want out? Or is it just wishful thinking

My total guess:  AD was irritated that a close game was stopped for 15 minutes to honor an individual.  He probably cared about winning the game.  He still probably should have faked it more in the moment.

Lakers were cooked after that ceremony.

I think once that ceremony started someone said in one of the threads that it was time to wager a lot on the Thunder.

Hahaha.  I wonder who that was.....   ;)

I just find it ironic that the free t-shirt said that breaking the record “was never the goal” and yet there he was, arms raised in the air, when he sank the record breaking jumper. All that while they were losing the game which they should have won.

well the Lakers did win the 4th quarter after the break and with Lebron hurt and watching.

Gotta love pointing out Patrick Beverly hit a meaningless three at the buzzer to cut a 6 point deficit to 3 and “winning the quarter” for them. It’s pretty clear the ceremony was a big disruption to the game. It’s also probably a lot harder for all the vets on the lakers to get warmed up after a long break then it is for a bunch of 22 year olds on the thunder. Ceremony may
Have very well cost them a game they needed to win. Good call by Don on that, I thought the lakers and Lebron would get a bunch of help from the refs in the 4th but to the nba’s credit that didn’t happen.

Self-entitlement for 15 minute fame for LeBron. When Tom Brady breaks a scoring record during the season, he just quickly rallies his team and get ready for the next play trailing in a blowout. One is a GOAT and the other isn't.

15 minutes?

I understand stopping the game for a minute to praise the achievement. I remember them doing that for Hakeem when he broke the blocked shots record in 1996.

But 15 minutes? What were they doing for 15 minutes?

For a team fighting for their playoff lives, Lebron sure doesn't seem to care. He's missing games left and right ("load managing"), spent a good chunk of the past month trying to expedite getting to the scoring record (and then stopping a game for 15 minutes because of it... and still losing). And make no mistake, once LAL is surely out of it, he'll rule himself out the rest of the season

I think Lebron right now with LAL is just all about promoting his brand and chasing certain records. He's not going to remain with LAL after next season, as he's said he'd like to go play in a team with his son (or compete for a championship elsewhere with a better roster)

He is having a very weird late career. The crying in the floor for not getting a foul call. Clearly stat chasing in certain games to try and get the record as soon as possible (he scored 2 points after he set the record in the third). It will also be interesting for how beat up he is and how many games he is missing will he put the team first and skip the all star game?

Mavs are putting a beat down on the Kings and Luka isn’t even playing… Ball movement seems to be much better.

Do the Nuggets have enough depth to win the title?

G: Jamal Murray
G: K Caldwell-Pope
F: Michael Porter Jr, Bruce Brown
F: Aaron Gordon
C: Nikola Jokic, Thomas Bryant

They traded away their best backup guard in Bones Hyland. Jeff Green has struggled all season as their only backup forward. They have only two reliable bench players in Bruce Brown (wing) and Thomas Bryant (C). And Bryant can't play defense. Ish Smith is their best backup PG and he is not a rotation caliber player.

Jamal Murray is their only legit ball-handler. Neither KCP, B.Brown, Porter Jr or A.Gordon are ball-handlers. Jokic is their next best creator off the bounce after J Murray.

I love their top 6 guys but the rest of their team does not look up to it.

Murray is a wildcard.  He's hurt again and has missed 3 straight games.  He was just rounding back into form.  They need to be healthy to be able to compete with the Suns.  I think out west it's one of these two teams in the Finals.

I think that Reggie Jackson will sign there.
