...  One of my biggest pet peeves in the sport is the stupid purposeful 24 second violation.  All it does is delay the end of the game.  Just keep playing.  It doesn’t mean you need to put on a full-court press while you’re up 30.  ..
...
Yup me too, especially when there is MORE THAN 24 seconds left in the game. Dribble out the clock only with less than 24 seconds left, otherwise play the game.

That's the distinction to me.  I don't like it when teams take an intentional 24 second violation, but if the shot clock is off and the team with a big lead is on offense, I think they should let the game end.

I have no problem with what Zion did.

If you ask me, some of that Suns team is very unlikeable to begin with, especially CP3. I mean, everyone knew the game was over, why did CP3 go for a stat-padding layup himself? And he has a history of stat-padding in these situations too.

Booker to me also comes across as a punk. Maybe a little strong, but I was so glad to see Doncic and the Mavs wipe the smirks off their face after last year's Game 5 in the Mavs-Suns series when they made those post-game comments.

I agree, I am not a big Suns fan.  That team just wilted and gave up in the playoffs last year.   The did the same thing against us in the last game.

So if you don't like Zion making a highlight mockery of your team, maybe get back on def and play through the end of the game.  Maybe this will light a fire under the Suns, but I doubt it.  Their record is better than they actually are.

The Spurs (without Poeltl) just beat a full strength Heat team, in Miami.

Miami Heat have fallen off a cliff this season.

Their defence is not the best.

Herro & Robinson are poor defenders, Lowry & Oladipo are not the same players physically, so they’re generally average defenders, and when Bam is off the floor they have no rim protection.

They also seem to find it difficult to generate offence outside of iso heavy Butler & Herro.

I believe so? I remember him scoring 16 at the end of the season for the Celtics a few years ago.

He’s been starting lately and scoring more since his latest injury. Still can’t shake the injury bug or hit a 3, but he must be doing a decent Tony Allen impersonation in SA.

And yet they beat us a week ago. Miami shows up on the big games. They’ll be a problem if we face them in the playoffs.

But didn't the Celtics beat the Heat as well?

Regarding the Pelicans-Suns skirmish , I'm just glad to see good old legit rivalries back in the NBA. I was getting tired of the league where all the players are best friends with the opposing players off the court and don't really go at each other on the court. When a team beats you on your own home floor and you are supposed to have title aspirations, you should be very angry instead of hanging out with them right afterwards like it was a pickup game in your backyard. This is more like it.
Is it me, or is everyone seemingly now rivals with the Suns? Are they just massive jerks?
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Orlando Magic..this team has a lot of talent but can’t put up a winning season…one reason is injuries, never see a team that has so many players hurt all the time..

Suggs, Carter, Fultz, Anthony, Bamba etc seems like they hurt a lot plus will Jonathan Issac ever play again? Kind remind me of Jonathan Bender who had potential but knee issues
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I saw a vid where it showed the suns basically do similar things to other teams in the past.

Rockets did us a favor and upset the Bucks.  Also, Middleton out again… sprained ankle, day-to-day.
