Can't wait to see his new highlights.

Many of those highlights were not garbage time. He had some nice plays with the regular rotation players. He knows what he needs to do. Sees the floor pretty well. Keeps the flow moving. Doesn't do much else.
I know this sounds contradictory but I think Vonleh is a better player but if I had to pick one to start, I would pick Kornet. There are more than just those two choices so likely neither Vonleh or Kornt start but if it came to it, I would start Kornet. Not have him play starter minutes, just a few minutes at the start of each half.
What do you think Kornet is better at when compared to Vonleh. Please don’t say being tall…
Being tall.

It had to be said!
He is tall. Nothing wrong with that. But my point is that Kornet knows the sets better and generally better BBIQ. He knows where to go on the court.
As he should, Luke has been on the team for 2 years. If that’s the only edge that Kornet has over Vonleh and Griffin, I expect him to behind both of them on the depth chart sooner, rather than later.
I agree, and if Kornet does start the season as a starter, it will only be as a fill in. He may not even play more minutes than Vonleh or Griffin. Certainly not more minutes than Grant or Brogdon or White. It is just about when he plays those few minutes that we are going to need from him.
Think of what Rob Williams does on offense when he is with the starting unit. Mostly just sets picks, hand off passes, and dunks when he gets the chance. He is just a cog. But he does it in sync with the unit very well. That is all Kornet would do. And because he has been on the team for 2 years instead of as little as 2 weeks, he can execute that role more in sync with the other starters than Vonleh or Griffin.
I don't know how the Celtics are going to do this. I doubt the Celtics even know yet. Grant Williams could start also. They could go small and start Brogdon. But the subtlety with those two is that it is preferable to get them playing in their natural team roles which for both is off the bench. This is why I think there is a chance that Kornet starts. It isn't that he is beating anyone out. He isn't going to do that. He just might be the best fit for the first 5 minutes of the game.
