Nia is now saying the Celts shouldn’t have made it public.

Understandable...she's upset that her family troubles were dragged out into the public sphere. I'd be upset too if I were the aggrieved party. But I'm pretty confident the Celtics didn't make the first step in leaking the situation, because they had nothing to gain. The group with the most to gain would be Ime's camp, because he gets ahead of the news cycle and gets to frame the situation as a suspension over a "consensual sexual relationship with a colleague". It can be corrected later but most people will remember how they first heard it. And obviously once it was out there, and discipline and suspension was going to be levied, of course they had to give a reason. I doubt they will reply, because there's really no point in getting into a back and forth.

The person she should really be upset with, she probably can't be publicly upset with right now, if there are legal issues regarding separation of assets, child support, etc. being resolved. Or if she is trying to reconcile with him, slagging him off in public probably wouldn't be conducive to such a reconciliation

So Celtics suspend their coach who just went to the finals for an entire season and the Celtics are supposed to pretend it never happened? And honestly the whole story hasn't come out yet.

And now…. Even though no real new information has come, people are also mad because they released too much information.

Sounds like a lose lose situation from the beginning

Where? I haven't read where she says anything regarding the punishment. As far I as I could read, she didn't discuss Udoka at all.

Wild to me that some people still think it was the Celtics that leaked information to Woj/Shams. In what world does it make sense that that would've come from the Celtics?

I think this is the Udoka's camp putting out spin to help him get his next job.   


By skill alone as a coach, he should be an NBA coach.   The questions come from non-coaching issues none of us actually know.   

So, it is better for his camp the more they can put in the minds of other teams and fans of other teams that this is a case of the "Celtics overreacting."   



I still think that the number 1 coach they wanted to hire who had more success in the his first year on the job then expected, is not going to be removed unless it was deemed necessary.
