I know we all hate Kyrie but this seems like standard issue "let's use something for motivation" stuff that I am sure every player has done at some point in their time playing sports.

I know my old football coach tried using that stuff as motivation. "We lost last year to these guys. We have to prepare and do better when we face them this year." Sports motivation 101.
