Dancing Bear watch ??

He’s really improved. Similar role as Grant Williams.

Can we buy out his contract?

Probably not, as he signed for three years with Madrid, so the buyout is probably seven figures, meaning some of it would have to come from Yabu’s salary, and on top of it the Celtics could either offer two years at the minimum or 1 year for the DPE, which again is a shorter deal than he has with Madrid.

Alperen Sengun maybe?? Low cost, big upside Al Horford replacement.  What would it cost in draft picks/assets to trade for him?

No way is Sengun an option.  He’s Houston’s starting center in year 2, and is clearly a building block.

Aim lower.  Maybe someone like Svi Mykhailiuk, who was just released by Toronto.

I say that because he was watching/scouting Turkey vs France and Sengun was playing in that game.  You never know what Brad is thinking. This would obviously not be a roster filler move to complete this years bench but a longterm   move as a fundamental piece.  No doubt it wouldn't come cheaply.

All the games now are in Berlin.  I’d bet he’s going to a majority of them since he’s there, not just France-Turkey, so I wouldn’t focus on any individual team. I also imagine plenty of high ranking front office personnel are there from around the league, so discussions will also happen regarding players not in the tournament.

Absolutely, agree with all of what you said. I'm just throwing out a wild speculation of someone that would fill a long term need as Al fades into the sunset, lol.
