Wow Atlanta just got hose!!! One of worst calls I’ve seen (Brady getting sacked)

That was a regular sack lol. One of the worst roughing the passer calls I've ever seen tbh

Terrible call.  Gave the win to Tampa.

Need to see it again but I think the Wilson call on Goff today was worse.

That was also a bad call but the thing is, in real time it kinda looked like Wilson may have hit part of Goff's helmet and made contact with it. They have called those before.

The Brady one though, I mean I don't know how blatantly atrocious that could be. It wasn't even like Brady got tossed or rolled over twice, he just fell and got rolled over once but that's it.

So Browns kicker missed a game winning 54 yard field goal.  Those are still really far, yet I feel like everyone just expects their kicker to hit them from that distance.  And I know kickers have bigger and bigger legs, but that is a really far kick.

So does every team just expect a 54 yarder to be a gimme these days and if so, isn't that just unrealistic?

Yeah it's probably unrealistic but sometimes teams just have no choice. I didn't see the Browns game so idk how the ending went.

I will say though, the Chargers to me are just a weird team. I know Herbert's dealing with injuries but in general LAC is a hard team to get a read on. Going into the year I thought they would be one of the best teams in the AFC and giving KC a real fight for the division. But while they are 3-2, they are jekyll-and-hyde week in and out. Plus I'm not that convinced about the coach (Staley).

Browns ran it on 1st down, got stuffed, and then had 2 straight incompletes so it was 4th and 10.

What is also weird, is the Chargers went for the win right before that. So on 4th and 1 from their OWN 46, the Chargers went for it with a minute 13 left in the game.  They gave the ball to the Browns almost in FG range when Herbert's pass was incomplete (so despite Ekeler having 173 rushing yards, they threw the ball on 4th and 1 from their own side of the field).  Browns got 1 1st down of 10 yards and ended up with the 54 yarder.  That was a horrible decision by the Chargers, that the Browns just couldn't capitalize on and now no one will focus on the terrible decision to go for it on 4th down.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Oh okay. Yeah that's part of the reason I don't understand Staley. Last year I thought he was too aggressive at times and it cost them. Then early this season he was too conservative when he should have been aggressive and it's cost them at least a game. Now in this game he was too aggressive late and it nearly cost them.

I don't think he's a bad coach but I do think he's a bit overrated by the media. He relies too much on analytics and honestly doesn't seem to have a great feel for the actual game (the "in-game awareness")

Also want to point out Keenan Allen was literally on Twitter tweeting during the end of the game and even he seemed to question Staley's decisions lol. And Allen is still playing for the Chargers, just injured. Makes you wonder if even some of the Chargers players feel the same way about him.

Of course I sign Bridgewater and start him in my office league.  Needed a win and end up with 0 points from Teddy. Hopefully he is ok.  Tough to see guys leave after big hits.

He’s looking better than my streaming start of Goff.
Goff seems to be essentially useless without a fit and healthy St. Brown

Crazy to think of the ravens lose tonight they will have the same record as the “6 win” patriots.

At least their GM can draft skill players. Maybe :P

Lol indeed. I’ve read some of the takes in this thread to my professional gambler friends. Lot of laughter.

Unless they have Justin Tucker (who is automatic from around the 53s or mostly anywhere), 50s are tough for many.

Then again, kickers have only one job and it's to score points by kicking

Carlson. McPherson. Tucker

Those are the 3 guys I trust the most if a team needs a 53+ yard field goal very late in the game to tie or win. Tucker more so than the other two obviously but McPherson and Carlson have typically been clutch in those situations too. Maybe there's another name or two I'm missing but there are a lot of kickers in the NFL and quite a few who are capable of hitting 55+, it's just they might not always convert it like Tucker.

For all the talk about the Bengals upgrading their O-Line, Burrow is basically on pace to be sacked 80+ times this season. Yikes

It's terrible. Their run game is also being brutalised. Mixon has 2.7 YPC, 0.8 worse than his previous worst (his rookie season).
