I wonder how much it would cost to buy Yabu out of his contract with Real Madrid.

Willy Hernangomez, Gorgui Dieng, Mike Muscala

Muscala just signed a new contract and so can’t be traded for month, and he has veto rights on top of it.  Dieng also is unable to be traded until mid-December.

That’s fine. So they’d have to wait a month or two.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I find this ironic considering the volume of posters that use him as their primary example for claiming Danny was a poor drafter.

He has looked really good in fiba play in games featuring a half dozen good nba players.

Gallo injury just proves why if you have a chance to add you keep adding no matter how good the team's odds of winning. The C's should keep active with their remaining tpes and not make the same cheap mistake.

With Gallo possibly toast, this is THE question. We need to use both and the injury exception in case another player goes down for good. Here is the ammo we can use with the TPEs:

2023 2nd ORL
2023 2nd POR
2023 2nd HOU/MIA/DAL
2029 2nd BOS (unlikely anybody would want it)

Technically we could also use a swap on a 1st, but I’d prefer to save those in case we get back into a mega-trade convo.

2023 2nd POR should land us Rudy Gay, who’s 36 but a decent rotation piece in Utah last year. The other two 2nds should land us another decent vet. Use the injury exception on the best defensive big left who will not cause chemistry issues, or Carmelo if we trade for a big via TPE.

Gay, Carmelo and a decent big would make me feel a lot better.

One thing that’s worth noting is that, while a bit cold, we can use Gallo as outgoing salary beginning December 15th. He can bring back nearly $8.2 million by himself, and if packaged with Kornet could bring back ~$10.8 million.  That’s going to be the biggest salary we could bring back compared to a TPE, and it would cost the Celtics less in net salary, and thus result in a lower tax bill.

Or, use the TPE to bring in a $7 million player, and package him + Gallinari + Kornet for a $19.5 million player.  Harrison Barnes would work, haha.

that's great for Yabu.  even better for people here who don't think Danny is a poor drafter.   ;D

Let’s do that for Mason Plumlee please.
