Guy has got no legs. Stay away.

Athletes that can no longer move, can't play.

That didn't stop us from signing Gallo.

Boy do I hate this kind of reporting.

Has Melo been "considered" by the Celtics. I'm sure he has. Have the Celtics "considered" signing 100 other guys too because they have roster spots to fill and it's the job of the front office to know who's out there and available? Yes.

Honestly can’t see why anyone who thought Galinari was a plus for this roster wouldn’t think Melo would be too.   It’s possible that the guy may not be a great teammate but that should be judged on recent years, and more importantly, no one here really knows what it’s like to be his teammate.

It looks to me that Melo will do pretty much whatever Gallo would have done.  And as soon as he starts putting up 10-15 bench points a game, fans are going to love him.

As far as whether Brad thinks Melo is the guy, who knows?  And if he doesn’t, I trust whatever his reasoning is as long as it’s not about money.

I’m sure every team look at every free agent and to see if they would be a good fit or not

I'm definitely in on Mello if he wants to be here:

"That's where Anthony should come in. Statistically speaking, he and Gallinari played nearly identical offensive basketball last season. The shooting numbers are downright eery."

I read this story the other day.  It's crazy how similar Gallinari and Carmelo's offensive stats are when you compare their last season.

Yeah, I would've guessed that!

Before the injury, I would have rather sign Melo instead of Gallinari

I’d prefer Gallo, but Carmelo is a quality replacement at the minimum.

I have to admit that I'm not too thrilled with Gallo's defense. If Carmelo can be better, this could be the right move. He's not known as a defensive stalwart and he's old so I'm just not sure.

It's actually interesting, both of these guys have been pretty underrated defensively over the years.  Both got a reputation for being poor defensively early on, and it stuck with them, even when defensive metrics were showing above-average defense.  Believe it or not, Gallo was actually rated as a pretty good defender for a lot of his time in Denver  and LA.  Carmelo always had the capability, and showed it on occasion.

But, at this stage, I think both are poor defenders, even when engaged.  They've just both gotten noticeably slower, and of course Gallo will be worse when he comes back next year.

I’m wondering if galinari may end up retiring.
