Looks like more depth.

I'm hoping they draft an OT in the first round now

I know nothing about Reiff, but glad to see them addressing O-line.

I’m not all that concerned about the lack of fireworks to this point.  I expect we’ll hear something soon about a WR signing.

11 picks right now in the draft. 6 picks in first 4 rounds (3 in the 4th).  I imagine Bill will use his four 6th round picks and his three 4th rounders to move around. He’s pretty darn unpredictable on draft day - except that he’ll make moves.  I do hope he avoids WR early in the draft after picking up a legit 1 prior to the draft. Maybe a tight end to replace Smith.  Parker, Bourne, Thornton - an ok group if Pats get Hopkins.

HATE losing Jakobi.  Such a solid receiver - would have been great to have him behind a real number 1.

Get that O-line in shape, give Mac a serious group of receivers, and let’s see what he can do.

Not a very good one, though.  I guess the Pats are hoping they can coach him up, because he didn't show much of anything special in Chicago.

Notice how almost all these teams are doing a ton to help their QBs after Year 2? Dolphins and Eagles made moves and loaded up to help Hurts + Tua last offseason. Bills did the same with Allen a few years ago. Chiefs and Bengals have done a ton to help their QBs and in Burrow's case, beefed up the O-Line to help him out

Now the Bears are doing the same for Fields as he enters Year 3.

Meanwhile, the Pats aren't doing enough to help Mac at all. It's fine if you don't think Mac is a Mahomes/Allen. He's not. But here's the thing, neither are guys like Hurts. But those guys still have success and the teams are doing everything to help them out and put them in a position to succeed. Mac hasn't had that.

Do we even have any players at the skills positions that you can say are better than the skills positions on these other teams like BUF/KC/CIN (Hint: We don't)

Patriots have to be one of the least talented teams in the NFL at this point, on both ends of the field. On offense they have Stevenson who looks like a stud, we will see if he can repeat what he did last year. Then Judon and Uche on defense. Who else is elite? Bill is not a good GM.

I think the problem is that Bill is drafting like he still has a Brady that has the Midas touch to turn dross into gold. Mac needs all the help he can get.

The solution? Get rid of his best receiver over the last two years and his "go-to" target.  ::)

Mac's comments about Meyers after the season were nothing but full praise and hope he'd stick around. Sadly he won't. I know Meyers isn't a flashy alpha, but he was still a dependable #2 or 3 receiver and in today's market, 11M is nothing. No reason not to keep him around and still being able to add a #1. Idk why we have to "replace" guys instead of simply adding to a solid group.

And as of now, I'm still not sure what their plan at WR is. Parker, Bourne and Thornton are the only ones under contract for 2023 so far, and in 2024 it's just Thornton. They need TWO wide receivers, not one if you ask me.

Better be a trade. Not interested in taking a WR early in the draft and either getting another N’Keal Harry or a player that might need a year or two to develop.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but the Pats signed James Robinson.  That's potentially a pretty good move, although his production fell off a cliff last year after a decent start.

Sounds like Damien Harris won’t be back then

Loved Harris but tbh he’s also very injury prone at this rate

I have a feeling that Juju is the Patriots idea of a #1 WR. Hope I’m wrong, though.

WR’s: Smith-Schuster, Parker, Bourne, Thornton. Could be worse, but also could be better.

Pats signed Mike Gesecki.  Good player who was used less than I would have thought.

Seems like a potentially impactful signing, I guess he fell out of the rotation when McDaniel took over and Bill O'Brien runs a much different offense than what Miami is calling. Hunter Henry/Gesecki is better than most team's TE Core.

Kendrick Bourne is the Patriots #1.

My gut feeling is the Pats probably want Jeudy, but the asking price is too high. They are probably waiting a bit and seeing if it drops. Doesn't feel like they are in on Hopkins. And the Draft is still more than a month away in case they are legitimately considering adding a WR with pick #14

If they find a way to add a real #1, then I think our receiving group actually looks awesome.

#1/JuJu/Parker/Bourne/Thornton with Henry/Gesecki the TEs. Pretty good actually, hopefully with a better O-Line too

They have been linked to obj and also attended his workout I believe.

So did a bunch of different teams. Tbh I'm not as high on OBJ anymore. I just feel like whoever gets him will be disappointed, plus him staying healthy isn't a given

And I'm guessing he's still asking for 20M in FA (lol)
