Sad day but it's awesome that a man of his stature (pun intended) lived for so long.  Usually men of his size have much shorter lifespans.

Just watched an hour long documentary on Bill from YouTube, I recommend, it’s easy to find.  Tough to take, the things that were happening then and still are.  Love you Bill, you’re a legend, RIP.

I hate to say it, but Lebron's response to Bill Russell's passing is one of the lamest responses out there, particularly coming from a supposed leader of the modern NBA.

Two Presidents tweeted there condolences not only praising his accomplishments, but calling Bill Russell their friend. You don't see that very often.
