At this point I just want to get to the season to see what this team can do.  If Jaylen want out, there will be other opportunities to trade him down the road.  Doesn’t have to be a 34 year old guy.

On the other hand, watching Durant vs disgruntled C's fans if things go south could be fun.

I agreed but feel he has no choice now.

I agree. If I were a Lakers fan, I would buy a season’s worth of popcorn to watch this green sinking ship.

I would do the deal.  Durant will make us even more of a  front runners for two years.  Brown may leave after that, even if we keep him.   Brown has heard the rumors that he is disgruntled, why not squelch them if he is happy?

If JB isn’t planing on RE-upping, you have to make the deal. It’s just good business sense. My my gut tells me JB wants to be the man on his own team, even though I’d like him to stay.

I hope there's some very open communication between Brad and JB.

His agent is Kanye, so my guess is that Brad doesn't have a great feel about how he operates.

How things have changed. Remember when Jaylen was his own agent and would hire industry specific consultants when negotiating contracts? Now it's Kanye - you've got to be kidding me.

You most certainly do it if you think brown walks after this deal.

Probably a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that makes this trade seem possible.

Kanye's not his agent though. Donda Sports handles his marketing and branding. Not his actual NBA business.

It’s just as bad, though. Maybe worse. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are telling him that he needs his own team, in a bigger market as it will be better for his brand.

I don’t think JB tweets his love (either way) to the fans if he and Brad aren’t communicating.
