Sounds like the Hornets will make Grant an offer sheet. We'll see what it is
every day a team signs someone else not Grant Williams is more of a chance he is back here maybe on a 1 year prove it deal to try and rebuild his value.

Not sure the total but he'd get a 1 year deal and would be unrestricted next year. Of course the C's could pull it but at 8.5m he'd be a good tradable asset.

He’s not a great tradeable asset, however, as he can veto any trade if he signs it.
Or they were using him to scare their guys into signing and this happens all the time.Grant will have value for us if he comes back at the qualifying level. He does not have good value at 15 million a year.

That’s cleared about $8 million in cap space relative to his cap hold. If the Hornets let Washington walk, they have about $20 million of cap space, whereas prior to Bridges signing the QO they’d have had only close to the MLE.
