Jaylen Brown 8.75" from bottom of hand to middle finger. And width is only 9" from pinky to thumb. My hand is 9.5" in width for comparison and I'm three inches shorter than JB.

Tatum there is no measurements I could find, but they look smaller than brown by quite a bit. Also frail and weak looking.

Could explain why he loses it in traffic and Tatum cups the ball going up for dunks.

Kobe has smaller hands, Jordan, Kawaii,  Lebron on the extra large size. Definitely has its advantages.

Malcolm Brogdon has big mitts at 10.25" handspan. Thoughts on this?

I read somewhere before that Tatum has small hands and this is something that will be an obstacle for him. Obviously he’s worked on it but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a correlation here. JB is a dynamic jumper but he seems to lose the ball a lot when trying to stuff it on people

Seems like we can’t lose by adding another ball handler with big hands, and fewer dribbles by our wings…!

Also wanted to add that Gronk has absolutely monster hands handspan is 10.75" from pinky to thumb, and I know that's the most important to NFL teams.

Oh and Rob Williams has huge hands from what I can see.

I can see where small hands can be a detriment, but I would also suggest that having a couple more guys who can consistenly knock down 3's will do wonders for Jaylen's handle - because the floor will open up.

Yes but unfortunately it's a sad reality.  It puts a certain cap in how good these guys can truly be.

Let's hope Tatum was tired, but I think Jaylen needs to become our Paul Pierce in the big games because Tatum is just not quick enough.

Paul George has small hands yet has a really smooth handle of the ball.

This is like the bizarro version of Rondo and his big hands being the reason he couldn't shoot

Paul had an old man, slow-n-go game. Tatum is plenty quick enough.

Tatum gets stripped because he extends his arms out hunting for fouls and exposes the ball. He turns the ball over instead of getting the foul. He needs to protect the ball and only extend to shoot it.

Jaylen needs to stop trying to split 2 defenders when driving. He doesn’t pick up his dribble to shoot and gets stripped instead.

It’s poor recognition of the situation that they keep repeating more than athletic ability.

We should probably trade them both before other teams wise up

Nobody worried about Tatum's hand size when he dropped 46 against The Bucks ...He was just worn out in the Finals from the lack of bench production.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Kobe, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, etc. are guys who despite having small hands managed to carve out pretty good careers.  I doubt Curry has big hands yet he played okay in the finals.

Jeez.

I thought experience and BBIQ, not hand size, were the reasons we lost that Finals series.  Our best player is 24, our second best is 25, and that reared its head against playoff teams with the tools to attack their weaknesses.  The solution isn’t to magically grow bigger hands.  It’s to play more basketball against the schemes and skillsets that made them uncomfortable.
