Seems more front office than player oriented.

And obviously Lebron does what Lebron thinks is best for him personally, but every single place he has gone that has also led to lots and lots of winning, you know except last year when the Lakers got cheap, wouldn't give people years past Lebron (except AD), let a bunch of free agents walk for nothing, wouldn't trade draft picks to improve the team, etc.  I think a lot of that is the result of hiring an agent to run the team and then getting in the way by listening to the Rambii, and generally just horrid ownership and management from the top down.

The minute they let Jerry West leave was the last time they had competence in the front office.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Their management has sucked.  Part of that has been to appease Lebron, including the Westbrook trade.

The Lakers have been weird.  They have partially accommodated Lebron and Klutch, but have pushed back at other times in a manner that didn’t make sense.

They sucked for 7 years before Lebron ever got there though.

“I miss Kobe. He would understand and explain everything that I’m not allowed to. Honestly he was the greatest Laker ever. He understood team over self. Meaning your rewards would come if you valued team goals over your own then everything would fall into place. All can reply.”

Sounds like shots fired at LeBron and Klutch.
A bunch of revisionist history. Kobe quit on the Lakers in a playoff series and wanted to be traded. But let's pretend like Kobe was a model member of the Lakers years later.

I would agree that Lebron never does anything wrong. Just wondering if catering to him at this point in the career will be as successful as in the past.

Lol.  That’s Kobe, through and through.  Team over self.

Magic and Kareem should come out and tell her to go screw.

Didn't Kobe basically run Shaq out of town?
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Yes. And then he asked to be traded himself when the Lakers were struggling after Shaq left. Yet everything is whitewashed because West stole Gasol and built another title team around Kobe. Great front office leadership is key to how these things work out in the long run.

Honestly though, this is kind of soft from Jeannie. She's the owner and she's creating speculation and instability with a passive aggressive tweet. I would have thought it would make more sense to resolve it in house.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D
