Sounds like shots fired at LeBron and Klutch.

She allowed the bad guys in and she got her banner , made deals with devil and now can’t get rid of the garbage.

Lebron has be obsessed with owning a team .  I suspect he thinks it’s easier to takeover a family business than one with lots of owners.

She should run all of them off.

Kobe was a Laker.  She has a bunch of mercenaries currently.

She may be laying the foundation for blowing the Lakers up.  She is identifying the high character type of player she respects and is probably tired of catering to Lebron.  The Westbrook trade had to be the last straw, and I cannot believe she will allow Lebron to force the Lakers to trade for Kyrie/

OK I guess Kobe was a Laker, not necessarily unblemished in terms of character but I’m not privy to the truth so will let that go. I’m guessing Jerry West and Magic might take issue with who was the greatest Laker….

So if not for mercenaries in the form of FAs or arm-twisted trades, how many fewer titles would the Lakers have?  It’s part of the culture of the NBA that eventually top tier players name LAL as one of their limited destination options.

Also the dynamic of unloading young talent/picks for veteran top tier talent is different if you are LAL than other franchises.  I wouldn’t think twice about Brown for Durant if I knew the Cs could quickly reload when KD ages. Rather, we presume that when KD ages, Tatum will sign with the Lakers.

I’m praying everyday that Cryrie and LeBum manage to get their way and force Cryrie there, just so Cryrie can destroy them too  :police:

Lol.  That’s Kobe, through and through.  Team over self.

Magic and Kareem should come out and tell her to go screw.

I figured that quote was indicating more in-fighting behind the scenes in the front office and ownership levels than about the players.

Similar to how Magic was forced out by Pelinka. More shenanigans and office politics behind the scenes.

That front office and / or ownership leadership are not working together but fighting each other for control of the team. Not all working to the same goal but inflation of self. Ego and selfishness over working for the good of the team.

That still fits Lebron. He’s been acting as part of the front office from day 1 and is now pushing for a Kyrie trade.

Kyrie would be great for the Lakers.

What is the problem with that?

It’s not Lebron’s place to dictate front office decisions. The last one he pushed for, trading for Westbrook, was a disaster. Plus, virtually no other NBA team wants to take on Kyrie.

Does Lebron have a no trade clause? It would really be funny if they traded him instead of Russ.

The whole kyrie to lakers thing is annoying. If he really wanted to be there he could have signed for 6 millions. Instead signs for the 30+ and him and Lebron start leaking to the media

I genuinely don't even care anymore about Kyrie. Not worth my time. Frankly I think most of the league feels that way too including BKN. Only reason the Lakers are involved is because they are also dysfunctional and see it as a way to get out of Westbrook too
