How about this one… Enes “Freedom” Kanter. As a backup center and for the Vet min, I doubt the C’s can do better.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Howard may be the best option at this point. He has been really humbled the last 3 years and I haven’t heard anything negative about him in the locker room his two stops in LA or in Philly. LA also obviously liked him cause they brought him back for a second go around. I may be mistaken but also believe he had some healthy dnps last year. He is a huge body, can rebound and would be useful against the gobert, embids, jokics of the world. I would be ok with boogie but watched him on the nuggets a bit last year and think he wants a bigger offensive role than Howard does.

I think Kanter burned his bridges with us when he claimed we traded him for his political views when in all reality he can't play well anymore.   Last year he could barely jump enough to get over a sheet of paper.

Does anyone know why Willie Cauley Stein is having trouble getting back into the league? He would seem to be ideal for us defensively, but there has to be a reason why no one wants him.

I’m guessing he isn’t really good enough.  He got cut by Dallas, and then signed to a single 10-day by Philly.  They didn’t re-up it, and since his 10-day took him beyond March 1st, he wasn’t post-season eligible so no one else took a look.

He’ll probably latch on somewhere tho.

Better to leave the roster spot empty.  He’d be subtraction by addition.

The mantra this off-season is to stay the course in terms of offensive AND defensive philosophy, but especially the latter.  In that regard, I expect C's brass would prefer WCS to Freedom.

WCS goes on the long list of prospects I was dead wrong about. Coming out of Kentucky I thought he was a stud and, at worst, the next Tyson Chandler.

Yeah, I thought he was going to have a terrific career, but I was also dead wrong.  What Rob Williams has turned into is pretty close to what I thought WCS would become — an elite shot blocker who could also be effective when switched out onto the perimeter.  Even talking about it I want the C’s to give him his next shot.

He’d immediately be an upgrade over Kornet. Enes is a good rebounder and can at least score underneath. Luke doesn’t do anything well.

Luke doesn’t complain when he doesn’t see the court, which neither he nor Kanter would most nights.  If you’re a fringe player, as both are at this point, it’s better to not complain about everything.

He’s also awful on defense.  Kornet isn’t great, but he’s better than Kanter at that end.

We should get the best big man possible using the Fournier TPE.

Knicks just waived Taj Gibson.

He’s 37. Yikes.
