These are all the teams I think are realistically in the running for KD (Okay, Golden State may be far fetched), and the packages I suspect each team would offer Brooklyn.

Whether or not Kyrie comes back, I think Brooklyn is going to try to win ball games. There is really no incentive to tank when the Rockets own most of their future picks.

Personally, I think if they can get Bridges and Ayton from Phoenix somehow, that'll leave them with a dangerous squad and in a good position moving forward.

PG: K. Irving , P. Mills
SG: J. Harris , S. Curry
SF: M. Bridges , R. O'Neale
PF: B. Simmons
C. D. Ayton , N. Claxton

May be forgetting someone, but that's a tough team to score against with a lot of outside shooting.

Phoenix is the answer, but that deal cannot happen unless they move Simmons and who’s touching that?

Can someone please post the picture of him in the clown outfit standing up watching us destroy the Nets in game 3? I can’t find a high res pic I can share 😂

How about KD and Kyrie to the Lakers for AD , Westbrook and Horton-Tucker?

If we offered Jaylen, that’s probably the best player (and therefore best offer) the Nets could get. I don’t think we will put Jaylen on the table.

Therefore, I’d say the best offers are Phoenix and Toronto.

Phoenix sounds like it might have to be a 3-team deal. Ayton to a 3rd team. The return for Ayton + Bridges + Cam Johnson + picks.

With Toronto, I think they would need to include Scottie Barnes to get KD. Barnes + Siakam + picks. Or Barnes + OG + Trent Jr. + picks.

I’m boycotting next year if that’s allowed to happen.

With Rockets owning all of the Nets' picks I selected LAC deal. Suns would have been 2nd as the Nets need another trade partner and could lose assets to add one.

If Nets had their picks I'd say Warriors deal is best.

Edit add: Question: Last year recent trade guys were able to be flipped in the same offseason has that rule gone back to the two month rule? If players can be flipped like last year Royce into another team's TPE works for Nets to complete the Suns deal. Likely they won't give anything up and may actually get a pick for Royce.

Ayton and Bridges would be an excellent pivot from the mess those clowns created in Brooklyn.

I assume Kyrie is never going to wear a Nets uniform again, so maybe they can get something useful for him (but that’s getting more and more doubtful, especially with just this season on his contract).

The Boston trade is by far the best one of the options, so I chose that one…even though it isn’t likely available.

It will be interesting to see the final deal. Gobert going for 5 1sts rounders and 3 rotation players should at least be a baseline

Agree. I've felt lately like I'm living in some twisted alternate universe.

Brown - Aka the 2nd best player in the Finals -  is BY FAR the best player the Nets could get for a 34-year old Durant. Tyler Herro? Lol. Ayton? Dude plays like a relic. Brown is a force who could be unstoppable with a couple tweaks to his game.

And yet there are trade proposals where we are sending off Brown PLUS another starter PLUS multiple first rounders. For a declining player we just smothered in the first round.

Are you kidding me?!?

I fine it absurd, as well

Trade a window for several years of potential finals for a one year window is what it amounts too.  Keep Brown.

Also are people considering with these KD/Heat proposals that Lowry, who would likely be included for salary matching purposes has NEGATIVE value?

That guy is owed $58m over the next two seasons. He's getting paid triple what he's worth and would cost a 1st just to unload.

And to match salaries the Heat would need $36m. Bam can't be included unless the Nets dump Simmons because of the Designated Rookie Rule (the same one that kept us from getting AD when we had Kyrie)  So the only centerpiece would be Herro, who only makes $6m and will be a RFA next year. If Lowry is not included Duncan Robinson becomes essential to match salaries. He makes $17m  with four years left on his deal (another toxic contract, probably getting paid 3x what he's worth). Oladipo also just resigned for 1 year at $11m.

Those 3 guys + Strus ($2m) or whoever get the Heat up around that $36m mark.

The Heat also have 3 first round picks to trade. But overall it feels like a poor haul for Brooklyn. Robinson is a mini albatross. He might be ok for a tanking team but Brooklyn owes their picks to Houston and has little incentive to be bad. Taking him on would be catastrophic. Same with Lowry.

Pat Riley really screwed things up with those contracts. I'd imagine the Celtics or just about any other organization besides the Lakers can easily trump that offer.

So what happens if OKC, Orlando, or even Utah offer a slew of picks to Brooklyn for KD? Orlando has 6 #1 picks to offer, and they also have the 2022 top pick, Paolo Banchero. OKC has a ton of picks and also this year's #2 pick Chet Holmgren.

KD is under contract for four more years.

Couldn't one of those teams potentially acquire not only Durant,  but also another star? If Orlando landed Lillard or Beal - ala Ray Allen before KG - maybe it convinces Durant he can compete for a title?
