The number 37 pick netted a 2nd round pick in 2024 and 2028.  Steven's said the price to move up in the 2nd was too costly.  He's full of s h I t. There were some good players with 1st round talent available.  Very disappointed.

Considering the Celtics have neither a 2024 or a 2028 2nd, I’m not quite sure what you wanted him to do.

The head coach he hired didn't win the championship either.

Plenty of gms were fine with staying where they were. C's got a boom or bust player gamble that will be okay on a two way. Moving up forces a guy onto the roster who may not play  I won't over judge BS on this. Not everyone deals to go up or throw $2 million to move up.

If we could have moved the Davison pick and two of our picks next year for 37, maybe you do that deal. But we’re low on 2nds and maybe Davison was the target all along. It’s a complete crapshoot outside the lottery and while picks in the 30s have slightly better odds than those in the 50s, it’s not that much of a difference. (2) or (3) 2nd round shots is probably better than (1) 2nd round shot even if it was 37.

Yeah, he could've moved up to 37 to grab JD Davison!

I agree!!!

Brad could have drafted this glorious mullet and moustache combination (Luke Travers).

5' 10" former point guard

Career highlight: 1973-74 championship, Boston Celtics

Career lowlight: traded for a washing machine

Brad specifically stated that the reason he didn't trade up is because the cost was too much, and he wanted to use the picks that it would have cost with the TPE to get other players.

I'm guessing we will get a much better player with the TPE and a draft pick than anyone in the second round ...

... other than JD Davison of course.

But then BS would be under valuing picks and overpaying again  8)

YUP! LOL

Brad had a good draft night with nothing to work with. We aren't even looking for prospects now we are trying to trade for NBA vets to support our young stars. Getting any kind of a prospect at 53 is a success.

 ;D

Odds of getting a productive second round pick is lower than me and Scarlett Johansson getting together.
