Tough question because the qualifier is so subjective.

Its like a version of the classic Marx Bros. joke: We wouldn't improve playing anyone we were able to get.

One guy to go after is Atlanta's Onyeka Okongwu as a Horford replacement. He looks to have the defensive profile that could replace Horford. Obviously he wouldn't provide the decision making and 3 point shooting, but I expect him to be ferocious around the rim as he develops.

Atlanta doesn't play him enough but seem to know what they have. However, the Hawks seem to be impatient and may go for some bigger deals this offseason. He might be gettable as part of a bigger deal.

Kevin Huerter might be an option.

I guess it depends on how you define realistic.

In terms of talent and skillset, I think AD is the guy.  He has the offensive versatility to accentuate the Jays and also coexist with Rob, and he's a big who can defend in space.  I don't know how I'd feel about asking him to check guys like Embiid and Jokic, but there are only a couple of those guys in the league.  But there are tons of questions.  Can he get healthy?  Is his decline in play recoverable, or is he just aging early?  Does he even want to play in Boston?  Would the Lakers actually trade him, and if so, would they deal a star to their hated rivals - especially without blowing up the rest of our starting lineup in return?  So yeah, 'realistic' might not be the word I'd use here.

Hearing Bobby portis may opt out.

Can we afford him?

Is there a list circulating of all the TPEs we have and potential exceptions (MLE, vet. min, etc.)?

I really think the C's need to go all-in and add, even if it's like 2 more awesome bench pieces. Go 9 or 10 deep with quality bench options and I think we definitely got a shot at making it back to the Finals soon. But we've got to commit and spend on the luxury tax if needed. Guys like Horford, White, etc. come off the books after a few years anyways so we can worry about resetting if we need to later down the road.

Stevens is on record saying he has the okay from the owners to go "All In". I think whats going to hinder things is: (a) what other teams will offer for certain players that the Cs might want, and (b) how Stevens/Ime see "fit" with the current core.

$6,339,000 MLE

$17,142,857 TPE (we can bring in a player or players making up to $100k above this)
$6,907,815 TPE (+$100k)
$5,890,000 TPE (+$100k)
$2,161,152 TPE (+$100k)
$1,910,860 TPE (+$100k)
$1,782,621 TPE (+$100k)
$1,669,178 TPE (+$100k)
$1,440,549 TPE (+$100k)

We can also sign as many veteran (or rookie) minimum deals as we'd like.

Realistically, no.  If he leaves Milwaukee, he will want more than the Taxpayer Mid-Level, which is all that we can offer him.

Also note that the $17M TPE from Fournier expires in July.  This is the most immediate intriguing issue.

Portis is interesting. He took the money with Knicks then he took discount to play with Bucks twice. Which way is he leaning now?

Not saying he'd be the "perfect fit", but what do people think about Rajon Rondo on a veteran's minimum?  I haven't followed him much lately.  But, off the top of my head, it seems like he'd be a nice fit and could play 10 or so minutes a game and be inserted when the offense goes stagnant.  And, unless he's a shell of his former self, the defense wouldn't drop off substantially with him in there.

Thoughts?
