JD Davison set a Celtics Summer League record with 41 assists. His 8.2 assists per game rank 3rd all-time league-wide behind Lonzo Ball (9.3) and Payton Pritchard (8.5).

I'm liking that.

I watched a few of the summer league games (not specific to Celtics) this year felt a little less exciting than some years past to me. Did anyone else feel that way.

The first couple days of games were pretty interesting to me — I thought the NBA did a good job of scheduling matchups between the top draftees, and there were some tight games, our buzzer-beater win included.  By game 4 and 5 they seemed less interesting, as top prospects started to sit out.

Kabengele might get some chances to stick as a backup big.  Dude showing a pro's big man body.  Real size and thick.  Strength and tenaciousness to bang for boards.  Anything extra he gives on top of that is just gravy.

I know it's just summer league, but his physical attributes stand out.

Kabengele is simply a bully on the block.

I think Davison will spend like 90% of his time in Main though.  He's real young, so that's kinda expected.  Don't expect to see him with the main team for a while.
yes he will clearly be the main mane in maine.
and what a mane he has! (lol), along with a great handle, quick first step, great court vision and super athleticism.  C's may have found a diamond in the rough. He's "Ja lite" until he develops a consistent 3-pt shot at which point he's "Ja-comp"

People forget that he was a five star recruit coming out of HS.  Rivals had him 13th overall, while 247 had him 16 and ESPN had him 15.  The kid is talented and if he stayed another year, probably lottery.  This is going to be one of the steals of the draft in a few years.
