JD Davison says he is going to be somewhere between a point guard and combo guard, saying whether he's on the ball or off the ball, he's gonna be a dog on both ends of the floor.

He plays hard. That's a good attitude.

 JD!

“My season at Alabama didn’t go as well as I wanted to, but I think I had spurts of what I showed and what I can do at the NBA level,” he said. “My decision was because the NBA floor is so spaced out for a dynamic guard like me, I think it was the best for me to go out and go to the draft.”

I’m looking forward to seeing Kabengele.  I’m not familiar with him, but I just watched his G league highlights from last season.  He’s a big guy who moves and jumps well and has a developing 3 point shot.

Thought I’d share his highlights.  https://youtu.be/2yU8EvSzpU8

Yeah, I’m looking forward to him as well.  He was a first-rounder selected just a few spots after Grant in 2019.  Of the summer league free agent invites, I think he has the best chance to be useful to the C’s this year.

Probably as a 2 way unless we strike out getting an experienced back up center.

I think Begarin has shot to make roster. Could fill roll as bench wing.

Payton Pritchard: Well, this was rather embarrassing… Celtic guard Payton Pritchard stopped by security. Wouldn’t let him into restricted area so he could sit with C’s coaches. VP of communications Taylor Kielpinski-Rogers had to vouch for him. Pritchard burned the strings in this gym last year.

When Langford was traded I thought Begarin could step into that role because of his similar length and defense along with the same scoring deficiencies.

He probably doesn't stand out as a basketball player....

They say it used to happen to John Stockton too.

Doesn't Kenny Smith tell a story of Stockton being stopped by security at an All-Star game and not believing Stockton was a player. They thought he was just a fan trying to sneak in.

Yeah, most basketball players tend to stand out due to their height but when you're in the 6 foot range you look more like a fan than a player.

Kabengele might get some chances to stick as a backup big.  Dude showing a pro's big man body.  Real size and thick.  Strength and tenaciousness to bang for boards.  Anything extra he gives on top of that is just gravy.

I know it's just summer league, but his physical attributes stand out.

Kabengele is simply a bully on the block.

I think Davison will spend like 90% of his time in Main though.  He's real young, so that's kinda expected.  Don't expect to see him with the main team for a while.

yes he will clearly be the main mane in maine.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
