…we didn’t even play decent in the Finals let alone “good”.

Not upset we lost.

Upset the team did not play up to their normal capabilities.

Warriors had an effect no doubt.

Their defense was underrated and their star player had an epic Finals shooting performance while our stars played poor to outright embarrassing in terms of ball security and our role players were non existent except for one game.

Warriors were lucky this was a 6 game series tbh.

This series could have easily swing 4-1 the other way.

Unfortunately mental fatigue set in and our bench disappeared at the same time.

Yet all is not lost.

There’s a higher level that can be reached with this team and we’ve seen glimpses all playoffs, just super frustrating they could not be consistent with it more.

They just had mental lapses that proved they're not quite ready yet. I firmly felt they were the better team too. But it's not who the better team is, it's who plays better on the day and the Dubs played better, wanted it more. Maybe the tough road to the finals took a lot out of them, maybe the doubts crept in when GS stole Game 4 with a 43- pointer from Steph and then won Game 5 with Steph going 0-9 from 3. But those mental breakdowns where they chained turnovers together and couldn't stop those GS runs told me they're not quite ready yet. Need a bit more seasoning.

Imagine saying we’d be watching this Celtics team in the finals six months ago. You would be laughed out of the room.

With a healthy RW I think we’re the better team, but he wasn’t, so we weren’t.

We have to give them credit, they played better and globally I think they have a better roster and a better playing system (as you can expect from a team that has its key elements together since so much time).
We arrived at the finals possibly tired, but also shown a lack of offensive solutions in great portions of crucial games with nobody moving, and a short bench. The best team won, kudos to our team for going so far.

No doubt GS had the 2 best players in the series with Curry and Wiggins. But our team certainly underperformed in the last 3 games. They lost the key moments.  Being the better team on paper doesn't mean much if you can't produce under the pressure.

The more talented team lost.  The Warriors played more as a team.  The Celtics didn’t play anywhere near their potential which is incredibly frustrating

Exactly. If the warriors didn’t melt down in game 1, this is over in 5. We just had 6 games of evidence on what each team is going 2 do. People think smart brown & Tatum are suddenly going to stop turning it over? It was happening all playoffs. Both teams shows who they were. That wasn’t going 2 change.

Other teams couldn’t take advantage. They finally ran into a team that could.

Just not good enough to beat a more composed team. That's what it comes down to.

It's hard for me to accept that we're the better team when we lost three in a row and four out of six.

Overall, we had a lot of unforced errors and some guys were banged up or hit slumps at the wrong time.  But overall, credit where it's due:  the Warriors played better than we did.  Their defense was quite impressive, and they hit the shots that they needed to.  Hat tip to them.

How can you watch that series and come to that conclusion? Cs made the same mistakes over and over again. By definition that doesn’t make them better. GS outplayed the Cs in pretty much every game this series.

yup we constantly had between 12 and 20 turnovers every game. terrible. they fixed nothing. major changes needed in teaching ability. 6 years and many still are clueless on this team. i blame management, ownership, and players. we have alot to fix. we need sports psychologists, etc. this team has major issues between the ears.  terrible coaching adjustments. terrible demanding players keep doing what is working. these players just float and jack up jumpers when they should have kept posting up or driving. i had same complaints about brad. i have zero faith it gets fixed when it never was addressed in 6 years. that tells me all i need to know.

we also need players. we need a PG and a real PF. we need bench players also. get rid of this g leagiue trash that is rotting on the bench and get real players who can contribute and or stop bleeding in games like this. we need 10 who can rotate and play in the playoffs. make trades, whatever it takes to dump driftwood and get value who can contribute when needed.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Bradley Beal has only 2.4 turnovers per game. He could be a major upgrade to Brown or Smart (or both).

Honestly I just don’t see the Cs winning it all with Tatum, Brown and Smart in the next 3 years. They have been to ECF 4 times, yet I just don’t see the maturity to handle big games as they blew away winnable games too many times.

We need a veteran star to lead this team.
